Samsung user, 10 Feb 2023As an ex-chinese phone user for 6 years. I prefer to exchan... moreWell man since most carriers gives 2 years montly plan where user can ahve new device after said time it really does not matter much since you can pick another device.
There arent many users who will keep their phone for 4-5 years or even more because you end with a very updated software but old device with even older hardware unable to run this new software apart from most basic apps.
But choice is yours.
I rather spend less time on waiting to charge my phone and swap it for new device after 2-3 years than having a 10 years of suport and have something tottaly bad.
For example imagine that you in 2023 will have something like S2 or S3 mini plain stupid even if the phones were eglibe for updates. They will be really slow and batŕely working.

I have had more times when I have needed more battery life (and no place to connect my phone) than times when I forgot to charge my phone.
So I don't really need this, more important, I don't want it. I want a phone where I can go outside with no worries at all and easily could get home with 30% (and not having to turn on power saver, turn off GPS, 60hz and stop myself from taking more photos/videos).
And it seems that the few phones right now that can offer that (s23 ultra, iphone 14 pro max) are the slow ones.

Then i really... moreAs an ex-chinese phone user for 6 years. I prefer to exchange ultra fast charging feature with long software support.
Both of my chinese phone was always ending up with bloated battery after 2 years and only got 18 months software support.

Since time is money faster is always better.
Then i really wonder why companies like Samsung, Sony, Apple ad google gives laughable old ancient dark age times charging technologies with no charging brick in the box.
Thats just plain stupid.

I personally prefer 500USD (or equivalent) Samsung A5x series than 500USD flagship from random brands with unknown software support👍

I wonder what is the function of that rgb lights at the back...if its just for aesthetics then its useless. Better if it functions as 2nd screen like mi 11 ultra

Instead of overkill 240W, I wish they upgraded the secondary and tertiary camera. Why the hell they still use 8mp + 2mp combination ffs? It's already been 2 years with this trash combination!!

IQ200, 09 Feb 2023I only believe in certificates. Exuse me for not falling to... moreI understand your point of view but let me tell you something. I am an owner of OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. This phone was not certified at all, however they told that it is waterproof as ip67. I have my phone since december 2018 and few times it dropped on the floor, had some breaks on the back of it. However, last year I was on holidays in zakynthos (Greek Island). I came to the beach and came into water with my phone in the pocket and started swimming. I didnt notice that my phone is swimming with me there, I forgot to take it out. After approximetely 3 minutes I came out from water and took out my phone. I thought its dead. I was actually in shock that not my phone was responding and showing screen on, but the biggest surprise was the phone was fully working being wet. Since then I trust Oneplus about not cert their phones. My phone is still working very well till today.

-American software (Android OS)
-American apps service (Google)
-American/Korean chip (Qualcomm/Exynos)
-Japanese/Korean sensor (IMX/Isocell)
-Korean display (Samsung Amoled)

It's more like no one can stop Korean or American instead, because chinese companies only create "rebranded" Korean/American phone.👍"
Parts such as display, memory, storage can easily be change and no one cares. Ex some of apple display is actually using BoE, lots of Xiaomi, oppo, vivo also using Chinese brands.
The most important is the product brand. The parts brand not really important

The back cover of chinese phone looks randomly designed.
Even the front screen looks 99% similar as from samsung, with those middle infinity-O Samsung design from 2019.
What is this? Is this a cheaper rebranded phone?

sq2013, 09 Feb 2023You don't need that proof and you're not going to... moreI only believe in certificates. Exuse me for not falling to advertisment methods OEMs are using. We have certificates with a good reason and even companies know this so they are asking for their devices to be certifited. That would be cool if any of the Chinese brands would actually provide us that information about impact on battery longetivity. Some people like to have their devices for several years. What's the point in one year warranty for BBK batteries for those users? All western brands who are using fast chargers with up to 240W charging speeds for their laptops wouldn't have an alibi for not using the faster standard on their phones. Unfortunately until that happens I will using the "slow" fast charging.
Cheers!

IQ200, 09 Feb 2023Can you please show me where is TUW certificate for ultra f... moreYou don't need that proof and you're not going to get it. Rest assured, these oems spend a fortune on research and development teams. These phones will be stress tested and benchmarked. They are not to design a phone wear battery degradation is so severe after six months, the battery needs replacement because they are going to have to be replaced free of charge Realme will replace the battery foc under twelve months. It's on their policy. Do you think a massive electronics company like bbk who own vivo, Realme, OnePlus and oppo will design phones with batteries that can take a 240w charge without testing the battery lifespan? I have a three year old phone that supports 67w charging and it's battery is just the same now. Also, just because it can charge at that speed, it doesn't mean you have to do so. I have used generic chargers that will only support say 33w charging on a phone that supports higher charging.
