Man i saw a hands on preview of the Nokia N96 on Pasco and its so slick!!! man i can't wait to get my hands on one, and i just got a N78 and it is so cool, i'm willing to bet that the N96 will out sell the SE C902, Samsung Inovate and Omnia and as for LG, the N95 8GB and N82 already out sold the viety and the N96 will most probably outsell their LG KC910, it might not sell like the iphone which i hate) cause of all the hype, but do bare people that only 3mps behind is nothing, you people are bashing nokia just for 3mps? man 5mp is good enough for cell phones and its not like a 8mp Nokia will not come

Bakhti, 25 Aug 2008Kal -- first and foremost, be respectful. Your efforts to b... moreIt's not me who said anything like samsung is the best or nokia is crap. This is a Nokia comment section, Its you who is picking up fights by draging samsung. Your experinece is based on d600 that's couple of years back. Update yourself or dont make such silly comments. Nokia design might not have changed but Samsung has changed a LOT.
And Gosh give me a break, dont you find anything else other than BMW to compare nokia. Atleast BMW makes their own car. Nokia simply assembles 3rd party components and put them in a chinese made casing. But yes I give them credit. They do it well and they are great. No issues. But as long as you make stupid comments about others which are not true, I will dare you. Your statements doesnt sound solid at all.

Kal, 25 Aug 2008LOL. I dont see any reason to drag samsung here. Whoever us... moreKal -- first and foremost, be respectful. Your efforts to be mockingly cynical and your exclamation marks are not only rude, but also pathetic. Don't be a regular Samsung fanboy(I've noticed that Samsung people tend to get rude and run around screaming Samsung is the best every time you make an objective comment about their devices). Secondly, don't dare telling me not to dare: this a public forum, I tell what I want and your job is to either agree or disagree with me. This is how it works.
Now re your statements: I'm not here to pick up fights with anyone over Samsung (not worth it, I daresay). Whatever I say about Samsung is pretty much based on my own experience, if I say that I think that Samsung is crap, you may disagree, but I still think Samsung's crap.
To all Samsung fanboys: the difference between Nokia and Samsung is like a difference between BMW and KIA -- you can have the latest KIA and it will have a DVD player and even GPS and tons of other features, but even a gilded steering wheel will not make KIA a BMW, you know why? Because BMW (for those who didn't understand the metaphor, read Nokia) gives you pleasure when you use it and KIA merely gets your around the town.

Nokia, nokia! You should STOP making UGLY phones! You might be the leading mobile makers but, yor designers are USELESS! Like Sony Ericsson, most of their mobiles look the same too! What's going on?
Your N and E-series - very slow, specially N76 and E65. If you're putting loads of stuff and applications in your mobiles, put a better and faster CPU and memory and of course a minimum of 1000mAh battery, forget about 800 or 900mAh!

Bakhti, 25 Aug 2008I've been using Nokia phones for the last, hmm, let me see,... moreLOL. I dont see any reason to drag samsung here. Whoever used the new samsungs will say exactly opposite. They will not prefer to sattle with a plastic-finger magnet nokia. Each and every mobile review sites says loudly about the bulid quality and material used in new high-end samsungs. On the other hand its nokia whose build quality is quaestiable, those shiny plasticsare finger print/scratch magnet. Not to mentions they are still noob in making sliders. So lets keep it within nokia, dont dare to drag samsung on this.

Bakhti, 25 Aug 2008I've been using Nokia phones for the last, hmm, let me see,... moreAmazing comment bro, Thats exactly what every Nokia fan is i've been using nokia my whole life too and i still got my Nokia 3330, 6120 and 8210 every single one has been dropped, thrown and pretty much taken through hell by my childern and even now whenever i need a spare phone or some needs one i use them and perfect call no noise or signal problems, my wife has a Siemens s55 and it was said to be shock prof and it lasted only 2 years, i still got it and i does't turn on and its like 7 years newer than my Nokias....thats why there are so many Nokia fans, its because we saw Nokia become what it is today and i've had my N95 8GB for over 8months and yea my friends and me have dropped it quite a few times pretty badly but its perfect, every function from calling to surfing wifi to takein a video and just 2 days ago i bought a N78 and i can't describe how cool it is to me, i just love it and i don even wanna touch it incase it might get dirty or fall, we die hard fans have been fans for along time, SE Samsung and LG are way newer than Nokia, and experience means alot and about the 8MP part yea i agree its the first time Nokia are behind and you SE, Samsung..etc fans used to say that yes Nokia are better but why you bashing us, now look whats happening, you people are bashing nokia cause it doesn't has a phone with 3 more pixels? so see live these moments to the fullest cause we're pretty young and phones are gonna get much more cooler and its not like a 8MP phone from Nokia is never gonna come.........its Nokia Baby

aldosari, 25 Aug 2008What a waist .. we were waiting for a surprise from Nokia e... moreI've been using Nokia phones for the last, hmm, let me see, 6 years -- none of the phones broke down, all of the phones are still functional, no signal reception problems. Once, though, I made a mistake: when my 6100 was running out of its life span (strictly feature-wise), I decided to experiment and went for a high-end Samsung (I guess it was D600 or something). It was a mistake I still regret -- even the high-end D600 had a build quality of a $5 Chinese walkie-talkie. Not sure if you ever used Samsungs, but I'm telling you, your innovate will be the biggest disappointment in your cellular life. There is a reason why Nokia sold 120M handsets in the first quarter of 2008 -- quality, precision and performance, that's what makes Nokia a Nokia.

This is exciting; I really hope they improved keypad on both of the phones (as compared to N81 and N79, respectively). I'm on a market for a new phone, so either of these guys could be a very good replacement. Go Nokia!

OLED screens does not last long. you'll probably have to replace your LCD twice in 3 years. phone needs longer warranty for OLED.

I think "AMOLED" has nothing to do with resolution. Must be a display technology like Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED).

AM-OLED screens are Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diode.
They are only 0,53mm thick, very light, brighter and they consume a lot less energy (power) than normal LCD screens used in mobile phones.
But the problem is they are expensive- some sources say that 40% of made AM-OLED screens are good enough to be sold and other 60% is dumped.
It is relatively new technology.
Sorry for my English:)
