    Vladimir, 25 Aug 2008Everyone stop complaining! Nokia's phones seem very simila... moreI don't think your statement could be any more self contradictory. First you agree that Nokia's handsets are all the same, then you say this is what makes them the best, which is a bit wierd in itself, then you state that Nokia offer options - right after they're all the same...

      Everyone stop complaining!
      Nokia's phones seem very similar to each other, and there is a reason. That's why they are the biggest cell phone company in the world and the most reliable. At least they offer options...

      The N79 seems like a very nice handset.

        Zobi, 25 Aug 2008What's AMOLED display? I prefer VGA if you ask me...It doesn't have nothing with screen resolution. AMOLED, it's short name for Active-matrix OLED. Main advantage is that they consume significantly less power than passive-matrix OLED.

          Wow. Truly amazing. Some sites say the n79 comes with a 4gb card and will go for 350euros while the n85 will have an 8gb card and shall go for 450euros. Its also said that both will be released next month. Just a thought, but Will anybody buy the n96 now?

              It would appear that Nokia is aiming to position their N series devices with the following respective areas of focus: N96: video, N82: imaging, N79: fashion/lifestyle, N78: music. However it is worth bearing in mind that all of these are perfectly capable all-rounders. And it is definetely worth noting that the Nokia E Series devices offer a very attractive option with state of the art technology and outstanding build quality.

                Zobi, 25 Aug 2008What's AMOLED display? I prefer VGA if you ask me...amoled stands for active matrix organic light emitting diode! sony are pioneering this technology with their flat tv's. it basically knocks the stuffing out of plasma and lcd with better colours, contrast brightnes et al plus it also consumes less power!

                      OLED = organic light-emitting diode
                      AM OLED = Active Matrix OLED device
                      AMOLED doesn´t have to do anything with the solution of the display.It´s just the name of a new technology. So this device should be capable of displaying VGA-solution.
                      Hope this helps.

                            AMOLED is an 'active matrix organic light emitting diode' display. It apparently has a far better contrast that TFT LCDs (a.k.a. active matrix LCDs) and better sunlight readability. This is a big step for Nokia.. lets see when the phone is actually released (i doubt it'll be next month).

                              Yes, all Nokia phones have the same blunt look and not surprisingly Nokia has the worst look among all the top brands.

                                      Why? have Nokia released these two mobiles out about the same time as the N96 as either one or two of these mobiles might not sell well at all as Samsungs releasing the i8510 but might be alot cheaper than these 3, 5 mega-pixel camera mobiles by Nokia,Nokias lost its momentum nowdays an need to sort themselves out as soon as possible or there sales might be dropping alot quicker than they were expecting as Samsung,Sony Ericsson an Lg are releasing 8 mega-pixel camera mobiles way ahead of Nokia
