vijay, 13 Feb 2023What is the need for a new chip ? They can just control the PLL.marketing. you know when g99 is essentially dimensity 810 without 5g, underclocked.

    why mediatek?? rebranding the same cpu?? are they mad?
    also, entry level chipset and gaming does not go together. as newer apps and demanding games evolve and require more functionality in order to make them work properly.. this chipset would be next to obsolete, those helio g3x chipsets really fit to the android 8 to 10 era.
    i thought unisoc was terrible.. i am really sorry to them.

      Any SoC using only weaker Cortex-A53/A-55 should not exists in 2023. For entry level devices 2 Cortex-A73/A75 + 2 Cortex-A53/A55 quad core SoC whould be a better choice.

            I don't understand the reason for the changes
            Lower clock speed

            Maybe for keeping temperature under control but cooling system often can help with this

            If we talking about budget gaming you're going need a lot of ram & better processor then this

            At least Helio p60 with 8gb ram is as low as I can recommend for gaming and do check out system requirements for Android games

            Although game developers really should try optimize games better also and potato graphic settings are needed for this reason

            As a lot of gamers will try game on budget smartphones as it's all they can afford

              Why is MediaTek using A53 ;cores? They should be using A55 cores

                          If you are lucky, you get 65% on SD888!

                          Without patent troll, Qualcomm never sold tons of 888 and 8 Gen 1, all OEM known these chips were bad!

                                    I think Mediatek have lots of the G37 that's not stable with the original clock speed
                                    and if they lowered 100MHz, it become stable
