Everyone can easily charge phone while sleeping. Fast charging is bad for battery and I don't want fast charging - I prefer having battery in good condition 2 years after buying phone. 😉

The standard technique is the split the battery in two (so two 50W batteries) and charge them at the same time, which does a lot less damage than 1 big battery being charged at 100W.

Horse and carriage is more environmentally friendly, costs "refuel" less, looks more anti-mainstream, etc. Same like this charging speed, bigger is faster, but also reduces the battery life faster, no matter how it uses dual-cell battery technology, it's still the same Li-Po/Li-ion battery.
No, I'm not defending Samsung or Apple. I just want to say that every technology has it own downsides, even something like electric cars.

'Horse and carriage is enough' is what they also said when the first car was introduced! I can tell you this it is life changing having your phone charged from zero to a hundred in less than 30 minutes. Mark my words ;)

Fast charging is all about flexibility. It's hard for me to understand why anyone would willingly be against that.

It's rumored to be around 6999rmb which is 75% more than the Oneplus 11 but it will be 6,499rmb at a minimum which is 62.5% more so would expect it to have a lot better cameras and brighter more modern screen for that price

The phones will last you 3-4 years easy and even when battery capacity drops it doesnt really matter when it takes 20 mins or less to charge your phone for the day (so literally when getting ready in the morning or while cooking dinner at night, you can also take the charger with you)
Also the chargers don't pump out the full wattage/highest amp output all the time you know? The wattage is split between multiple batteries that usually have a dedicated chip for heat and power management, which is also in the charger too (and generally are GaN chargers which are far more efficent).
Real damage to the battery is A. Letting it drop below 10%-0%.
B. Charging it over 90%-100%
C. Leaving it completely discharged/keeping it on a charger at 100% (some companies like asus have solutions to this).
D. Having your phone on charge for longer which keeps sustained, increased heat on the battery.
E. Using older, less efficient chargers.
