      Yesterday, Xiaomi released MIUI 14 (Android 13) beta version for pilot users.
      (I am using it as my secondary phone and am involved in testing beta builds officially)

      That's 2 Android upgrades with third on the line. Anything else?

But if you are buying a mid range to flagship device, then you should get those os updates. That's why chinese branded phones are called 'disposable' its because of their short software support/os updates. Can't say the same for iphones which has a minimum of 5 years of os updates. Heck my iphone 6s was supported for 7 years. Mein Gott can android please step up?

                        For example, Samsung midrange from 2019 (Galaxy A51) got Android 13/One UI last year.

Misinformed, high ego, and patronizing. There are very few phones launching today with android 12, let alone android 11. There is 1 privacy focused phone that launched last year on android 11, but that's a bit of an exception. I'm sure you're referring to more mainstream models. So that being said, pretty much all phones that will recieve android 12 have it by now. Even the surface duo 2 is on Android 12. 50% of phones that will get android 12 or even 13 still on android 11 is just a ridiculous statement.

That's why most of the updates are worse on them than on their flagships.

                                      Implementing vs committed/planning are two different things though. The chinese can say they are committed to offering 4 years OS support and 5 years security patches, but has anyone of them really done it?

Just go to asia and look at how much chinese brands dilute the market with their products. Only in 2023 that some of them realized that one of the reasons why Apple and Samsung are still no.1 and 2 is because they offer long software support (OS and security updates). Too late to the party I guess.
