musicphone/n82, 26 Aug 2008let's put it this way: will you have the same convinience ... moreyep, these are some good points - I just never see these handsets as gaming devices I guess.

But as you said, of no importance to me and probably not of importance to those that complain about them.

Don't get me wrong, Nokia has a great range of handsets, just too much of the same. Innovation isn't their strongest asset anymore.

          It used to be though...

I wouldn't mind a DOLBY Mobile handset with a 854x480px, 16M AQUOS LCD, OneSeg (or DMB-H/T) receiver, Smart-IC chip and 5.1 Megapixel camera (906i by SHARP).

If Nokia could produce this I'd be SOLD!

Anonymous, 26 Aug 2008What you are telling me is marketing talk... Look at th... morelet's put it this way:
will you have the same convinience of not having to open the music player if u wanna skip tracks while browsing the web on n82 as on n85?
how awkward is it to play games in landscape mode in n82 without the gaming keys just like on n85?
dual led flash gives pretty much the same illumination as xenon flash.
having the advantage of a flash in video recording.
fm transmitter that further enhances the music experience.
              1200mah of large capacity battery.
amoled that increases viewing experience and saves more power at the same time.
if those aforementioned details are insifnificant to you, well to others those could be crucial.
i hope you get what i mean.

The point is: Japanese manufacturers produce less handsets, but have bigger advancements. Most of that R&D has already been conducted, they are just milking every drop of money from people like you all in this forum.

Brand loyalty means more in the western world than in the east. That's how Nokia & SE make their revenue, not because of tech! How long have we been dragging these 3 and 5 Mpx camera modules and QVGA screens...

I want something new, that's all I'm asking for. And I would like Nokia and SE to DO IT!

SE already has all the R&D as they produce handsets for DOCOMO.
                  NOKIA could be there too.

If only SHARP and NEC would re-consider the EU & AUSTRALASIAN market I'd be happy!

you know whats the difference between N85 and N96,

N85: FM transmitter, new screen tech.
                    M96: 2.8 inch screen.

I can't wait to get a N96, man that baby looks so slick but please nokia why are you keeping the N96 for yourselfs? people release it soon and i'll buy it in a few months when its at a affordable price but why N85? its the same as N96 but N96 looks way cooler! Keep chillin homies!

However, you could just get a HTC Diamond and stop moaning? It meets most of your DEMANDS.

You can always change the look later, plenty of options, but you gotta admit that if you want a N85, you can just by an N82 and be better off.

I'm not fan of SE, SAMSUNG or NOKIA because I know that as a customer I want some REAL VALUE.
People that say that the N-Series all look the same state a simple TRUTH.

I want a phone that has a WVGA 16M screen, HSDPA and better OS than a Symbian S60.
If only my Japanese NTT DOCOMO phones would be fully unlocked I'd ditch Nokia & Co. straight away.

But no, real innovative phones apparently belong to the Japanese only.

I'm just frustrated that Nokia won't do better...

Compare the N82 with ... moren85 is not meant to compete with n82. n82 is a flagship camera phone so it has all the complete facilities of a flagship camera phone. on the other hand, n85 is the successor of n81. n85 is a midrange all-in-one multimedia device just like its predecessor, n81. it fills in what n81 was lacking - 5mp camera, vga 30fps video, hsdpa, gps, accelerometer; further enhancing it with amoled display, fm transmitter, fp2, usb charging. see? n85 is not just focused on camera alone like n82. it's a multimedia powerhouse.

please don´t says stupid things anymore, this is a great n series of the best manufacturer names NOKIA...

all of you are talking about the "boring design", "the same design" and "nothing new" but you don´t see SE or samsung, they have a lot of handsets with the same design and the same specs, but you call him innovators...

Please see the W series, are the same things but they only change the looks a little bit and this you call a new phone, the K series are the same thing, and Samsung have to much sliders and a little bit of bars, and they are the same thing.

And the other very important point, The symbian OS, both (SE and Samsung) are using this for him smartphones, only one in the two manufacturers are not symbian in this category...

For all of this reasons... WHY YOU ARE TALKING ABOT BORING LOOKS AND NOTHING NEW??!!

The N85 is nothing more than a quick fix before the OFFICIAL sale release of the N96. And $660 is nothing compaired to what the N96 will be priced at.
