Even Apple is if we are talking fast charging standards.. but the thing is 27W,25W or even 20W, heck even 18W is *lightning* fast compared to 10W. But slow charging aside, this is supposed to be the successor to the Poco C40, or I guess technically to the Poco C50, the latter was already a huge downgrade to the C40 and they didn't make it cheaper, C55 is still worse than the C40, which did have type-c and 18W fast charging. I would have no issues with this phone if you couldn't get a better one at the same price, but you can, there is no place for this decidedly last gen device.

    This and the Poco C50, Redmi A1(+) only use micro usb, because Xiaomi had some leftovers of the old port and they wanted to get rid of them before the EU requirements of every device having to use type-c. Which is disgusting and just wasteful, should've just sent those ports straight to some place that can recycle them.

      So whats so special of this year number ? It's like for everything in every year people complain and whine about some old tech in a phone and then say the year number the comment was made in like it's something out of this world and thanks to the fact that we live in year 2023 we already should have flying cars, tleportation and hologram phones

It's 2023 wake up. Other location exist yea sure, and everyone has options for dirt cheap phones that have type-c. The big difference between type-c and micro usb is that micro usb is an outdated fragile junk, whereas type-c is what pretty much every device is using, so you will only need one charger and one cable for all your devices. That's the difference between us, I look into the bright future, whereas you live in the past. I charge my phone with 180W, 0-100% in 12 minutes, whereas your phone takes at least 3 hours to charge up through micro usb. Keep on defending e-waste maker Xiaomi.

Redmi 10 has an ultrawide camera and 90hz 1080p display, type-c and fast charging. This has none of that, it's brand new yet it's far more outdated than even a 3 year old phone. Micro USB? Really? Come on.

                        Most people use the port for charging the phone only so what's the difference in the type c or microusb ? You wont have 33 plus W chargers on these low end budget anyways so what's the deal here ? If these have 18W fast chargers then thats already very good. Even 10W is good enough when you think we use to have 5W as standard for a decade plus

                          Why would anyone in there right mind buy 100 euro phone that is 1-2 years old model and were also cheap as heck on release ? Buying just released 100 euro phone makes more sense as at least you get 1 year of security updates while with these 1-2 years old low end budget phones you get nothing

                            Maybe in few years in the future it become rare as when the EU law with the type-c start to be history

                              Micro USB on a phone in 2023, especially one from Xiaomi's Poco brand seems unacceptable and it really is.

                              Other than that, with an SOC that's as low end as it gets, having a 5,000mAh battery should be sufficient to get 2 days out of it with moderate use.

                                No type C port charging = No buy !!!!
