Again a camera downgrade. 64MP or otherwise 16MP main photo was OK.
Instead of going up, they return to 12MP again?!
Marginally enough for A4/Letter print at 300dpi, no crop.
Ever since A52s specifications decrease and price goes up.
And can someone eventually converge to 19.5:9?
Enough with TV remote like telephones.
Even this small tweak makes difference when pocketing the handset on a suit or in ladies bag!
Hope they 'll find something good to surprise us with....

But great suggestion, the LG V60, an ex-flagship is a cheap and great phone to use. It's certainly competitive against the Samsung A52-S in all categories except for 5G and 120Hz. Those are pretty big feature sets though. Not to mention, the Samsung comes with newer software and much longer support period.
The only device that's better, without making compromises, would be the Sony Xperia 5 mk V.

So of you want a big scrern with decent specs....you have to buy flagship....they could not screw up more with screen size

A52s is still listed near A73's price here lol, A73 is only $20 more and more easily available, no 3.5" jack and no charger (lol can't have it all) but you get up to Android 16 vs 14 on the A52s. Both are on the 2 year old SD 778G.
S20 FE 5G has better specs (SD 865, telephoto, USB 3.2, UFS 3.1, wireless charging) and is much cheaper than the A52s, albeit being on Android 13 and GG3.
If it all boils down to wanting a headphone jack, you'd better get one with good DAC like the LG V60, should be cheaper, it has a quad DAC, aptX HD, USB 3.1, SD 865.

Seriously drop the exynos or improve it to match the competition. IMO Dimensity 1080 would have been better on A54 than E1380, S778 would have been ideally the better choice for sure. Looks like another year of disappointing Samsung mid-rangers.

I know this might be a trifle to most people, but as someone who works with PDFs a lot, l have taken note of the fact only Samsung and Xiaomi allow you to lock an app in landscape mode even if you physically hold the device in portrait mode. I know there are third party apps that facilitate this functionality, but they tend to be buggy and I have read horror stories about how they caused software issues requiring hard reset. Moral of the story: only Samsung and Xiaomi are mindul of the needs of office users. As for these two phones: l wish Samsung would make them slightly smaller, so as to render them more pocketable. Height of 150 mm max and width of 72 mm max would be nice.

That's why I bought the A52s, and will likely be my last purchase from Samsung since they don't know how to make actually good value phones. Next I would probably buy an Xperia. Yeah, it's expensive, but at least they know how to add features that make it worth it and actually competitive to a Samsung with the price model THEY are going for. I mean, 1TB micro SD card is around 100 dollars now here at least when on sale, so I wouldn't mind going for the 256GB internal storage option for around the same price as the Samsung with a headphone jack as well and with good professional camera software compared to a company that literally REMOVED the option to change photo resolution. Huh. I wonder why? Maybe to fill up your internal storage faster to convince you to upgrade to a new phone? Wonder why they are doing the whole "free" 512gb storage update? Hmmm... At least with Xperia (Sony), they don't prevent you from unlocking the bootloader in the United States phones like Samsung does.
Heck, if the ASUS Zenfone 9 had expandable storage along with all existing features, I would've definitely considered it as my next phone :) It has open source kernel firmware and unlockable bootloader as well :D
