Now the Xiaomi brand is positioned to fight iPhone and Samsung (replacing Huawei - Leica). It's Redmi that is positioned for those targeting a more affordable budget. Of course, with some drawbacks compared to the Xiaomi brand as the top caste.

I am really disappointed with the recent pricing of high-end Xiaomi phones. They are very expensive. I really missed those times when every time I heard a Xiaomi product I instantly associate it quality products with cheap prices. But now, I cannot say that anymore. Their budget and midrange phones are good value. But their high-end ones, I don't know. If I have to spend €1,200 for a phone, I would just buy from top brands like Apple or Samsung even though I don't like their phones that much. I think my choices for my next phone will be toned down to just ROG, Zenfone, and Red Magic line-ups (I am not a gamer by the way). I want phones with symmetrical speakers, sound EQ settings, headphone jack, big battery, and super fast charging.

There will be two zoom lenses, one at around 3x and one at 10x. It's rumored to also have an option for two apertures for the main lens (rumored anyway). The main sensor will continue to be the imx989

The Xiaomi 13 Pro has some low-mid range specs such as 1080/30 video selfie, very poor selfie camera, optical fingerprint sensor (not ultrasonic) USB 2.0 which make it laugheable for a phone that costs more than 400$ (350€) so imagine 1400€ like it costs in Europe. Neither has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and no eSim support and for these prices it should have all. But it lacks too much.

The 1900 nits are marketing as these will be shown just in HDR videos from the main gallery while the REAL auto brightness top is barely above 1000 nits. Xiaomi's ISP is still too weak and even the 1" sensor with MIUI that doesn't get its potential, 13 Pro's video recording is FAR from the quality of Samsung or iPhone, specially stabilization and dynamic range control. The audio is still barely 192kHz so far from the 384kHz Hi-Fi audio top premium brands offer.

The 13 Pro back cover is also very ugly and extremely bulky with that glass covering 40% of the back cover. So it's much more fragile. MIUI is still a joke full of problems and it won't get more than 3 years of updates. In conclusion: Too many weak points and too many things missing for a phone that's 1.400€ also the software is the worst possible. Xiaomi will need to drop 500-600€ from that price if they want to sell anything!

Bit dissapointed that they didn't bring the Ceramic green to Europe but rather just the dull white and blac (grey depending on the source).
Also they could have dropped the price more to compete better, i mean that the Sammy S23 ultra won't cost that much more and Oneplus 11 costs less and compared to the Chinese price the hike is pretty steep.
