AnonD-1037771, 26 Feb 2023They know that European people don't like phones that ... moreYour talking about ancient history when there was only brands like motorola, LG, Samsung, Alcatel, blackberry and Sony. Well actually there was no Sony at the time as it was Ericsson that later become Sony Ericsson and then changed to only as Sony.

So what are you on about ? At these times we in EU didnt have anything from china like that and also it was the time when there was no touchscreen phones. In touchscreen era it still took few years before we started to see Chinese phones for cheap. First was like OnePlus

Also i never looked any of the 20 nokia phones or so i have ever owned to see if battery have made in Finland on it. At some phones i was happy to even find a replaceable battery so i didnt care what so ever where it was from.

if you think only china, vietnam or india phones can be cheaper, you are wrong. there are many places can catch same cost like these countriies in Europe. Like Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania etc.

And also, Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Honor, Tecno have factories in Turkey manufacturing mobile phones .

Carol, 26 Feb 2023And people are now supposed to think that xiaomi is somekin... moreActually Xiaomi does have a history as far as software is considered. It wasn't always a smartphone brand. They started with custom ROMs, which were way ahead of their time. Sadly, all good things must come to an end. Not like it's the original Nokia we are talking about either.

AnonD-1037771, 26 Feb 2023Who cares? Nobody in European countries will actually buy them 🤣I will. It's time to start using your money to show the chinese that they need us more than we need them. China and Russia are conducting a devious war against us, and we need to stand up for ourselves. It's time to move jobs and critical manufacturing back to Europe, and stop handing our enemies our money and jobs. We need closer ties with our allies in Europe, Africa The Americas, Australasia and South East Asia. China supports Russia

They know that European people don't like phones that say 'made in china'. Back in the day, when the real Nokia existed and people from Europe actually bought them, we used to remove the battery and check to see if it said ''Made in Finland" on the back of the phone (in the shop). If it said anything else, we would decline buying it until the seller gave us a a 'Made in Finland' model.
I bet this is one of the reasons they're doing this .
