Eye problems gonna become worse in coming years.

Kudos to people blindly going for OLEDs without thinking about consequences.

Olympus Oms, 24 Feb 2023What would Apple do without the companies they constantly sue. Make everything on their own and still be the best. But why should they bother when there are many to produce hardware for them?

In fact, samsung's sAmoled and LG's p-oled made by flexible material which won't break easily. Yes, even more durable than still IPS panel. A friend of mine have an oled device with broken screen, the oled panel still working till date, nevertheless.

also microleds since they smaller and bright they burn faster than normal leds.
                                which causes white spots.

microLED IS the upcoming (true) innovation. It'll for the first time in displays history combine BOTH reliability AND image quality. Not like the case now which is LCD reliability vs OLED quality.

Especially this year there are more and more switching to Huaxing Optoelectronics, Tianma, Visionox and BOE. All of these have improved their oled screens a lot compared to a couple of years ago. Most top falship models so far are still using Samsung but the Xiaomi 13 ultra is reportedly switching to a Huaxing domestic screen. I think we will see more and more top flagships from the Chinese brands also switching to domestic screens as it can save costs. The oled screens on midrangers like the Redmi note 12 pro/pro+ have become very cheap. They are significantly cheaper than the LCD screens they use on the note 11t series last year (just 320rmb (US$46) from Xiaomi for a replacement Oled screen for the Redmi note 12 pro whilst a replacement lcd for last year's Redmi note 11t pro costs 550rmb ($79) direct from Xiaomi). Cheap Oleds have really dropped in price

Bigmeme, 24 Feb 2023Most Chinese brands use samsung No.

Almost all midranges use Boe or Tiamna. Devices like xiaomi 12/12 pro had TCL.
                                        Vivo x90/90 pro have Boe.
Devices from Zte with UDC have visionox.

Lenovo uses domestic screens and basically all motorola as well. Asus Rog had Tiamna screen for 3 generations (rog 5 was first samsung oled).

All chinese screen makers call their oled as amoled, it is not samsung thing.
Only LG and Sharp call just oled , despite being amoled as well.
