mark, 27 Feb 2023Oh, piss off with that sustainability crap, all of a sudden... moreThat's part of the problem. Seemingly whenever companies try to make sustainable and repairable phones they put cheap components in them, and then when they see bad sales they probably think "well nobody wants to buy a sustainable phone then!!!!!"

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2023Love seeing the Fairphone effect in action. It's about... moreI have no idea why you got a red cross when environment sustainability is the future. Also, Fairphone don't do greenwashing, unlike Apple. They truly deliver fully user-replaceable repair-friendly phone since 2013. I can understand why Fairphone don't sell their phone outside EU because of carbon output, but bigger and more popular brands can definitely follow the same thing Fairphone has been doing all along.

It's a good move towards a more sustainable future smartphones era but... I'd rather that Nokia invest in Fairphone and let the actual experts handle this initiative. Instead of putting out last gen specced products but with current gen prices.

I love seeing people Mald over Nokia phones. Now I see that people are saying that Unisoc T606 is a trash SoC lol. The thing can play CoD mobile decently at medium graphics settings and medium framerate whereas the Mediatek G80 doesnt even have a medium graphics settings option lol.

I have used the Unisoc T606 chipset on the Nokia G21 and there is no game I have played on it that has managed to make it sweat.
The multitasking is also great on the phone.

Though I wish it came with Android 13 because as it stands right now, there is no difference between this phone and the Nokia G11 Plus. Both will recieve the same amount of updates.

AnonD-785804, 26 Feb 2023Wat lie. Android one program all their phones have received... moreStop repeating excuses for hmd.

XR20 was promised monthly security updates for 3 years. They have only delivered quarterly updates at best. Same with the X20.

Nokia Pureview 5g was abandoned. It was a flagship phone and dropped after 18 months and Nokia admitted that they were dropping it was because demand was low, not because of any technical reason.

Stop making excuses for this company.

cyber, 26 Feb 2023what a big lie, almost all devices up to 150 euros from man... moreWhat do you know about smartphone repair and tell people which models will those be?

"leading cause for people to change their phone is ... degraded battery"
"HMD focused on making those as easy as to replace as possible."
"A battery replacement of the Nokia G22 takes around 5 minutes"

My most recent Nokia phone takes around 5 seconds to replace the battery. Remove the back with your finger (pull on the edge), pull out the battery, insert new battery, put the back cover on. Done.

5 minutes? "as easy as to replace as possible"? Lies. HMD makes phones that have user replaceable batteries, replacing which takes seconds, not minutes.

                              Please don't copy-paste marketing nonsense.

People here talk like PR of mediatek or snapdragon.

How do u guys saythat this processor is trash. It is good only. My nokia 2.4 with p22 came with abdroid 10 and now i use it in android 12 and it is same as day 1. So does t606 would as its much better than p22.

U commentor asoles tell that phone wont last long... Weak processor.. Some shit & ask price to perf ratio of chinese manufactors. Just do an adb check via laptop. Their oem apps are almost all are tracking and analytics apps. Hmd dont have even one such and no ads. That justifies price to performance. Chinese gives at somewat low price in mid range bcoz they sell ads and inject trackers while design the phone.

In low end, very low end actually nokia gives more value as chinese also sell at similar price.

Seems like my 5.3 is gonna be my last Nokia phone. It's been 2 years old, running pretty well, no much issues but some glitches on the touchscreen and degraded battery. The 5.4 is last usable Nokia sold here, and I wont buy more Nokia Phones because they only sold C series and G series with UNISOC. G60 or X Series? Forgot them. The wont sell it here, never. We're tired of this three colored company.

Love seeing the Fairphone effect in action. It's about time we see phones build like Fairphone.

Lets be honest this phone price will be around those Snapdragon 695/helio G99 devices and definitely wont be usable for too long since it will be laggy after prolonged use, except maybe for basic usage this phone wont hold too long. Better for those who want to longer lasting phone buying phone with LCD phone
