on phone arena there is a specification list for the htc dream and to be honest with you its not all that impressive its totally comparable to the latest group of win mob phone (e.g. htc touch pro,SE XPERIA X1,Eten DX900....)
so unless the operating system is ground breaking (keep in mind win mob 7) its not gonna have that much success (I believe) & hopefully wrong but only time will tell.

at the end of the day the OS wars will boil down between Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Symbian. but i prefer the second and the third :)

& also, Windows PC & Win Mobile only.
All other are dead for me.
Win Mobile 7 will burn them all out.
Because Microsoft copy/pasted all iPhone OS features.
Hah,hahahah.

Some manufacturers (HTC, Samsung) seem to be more keen to Android than others (Nokia, Apple). It will take a long time before Apple accept Adroid on Iphones like they did for Windows on Mac. Nokia will want to keep up on developping OS or give up and concentrate on their devices. Not sure switching OS has a real interest tough, still few people do it with their PCs and a mobile is not a working station yet.

Now that the Mobile OS wars are hotting up, the devices would become nothing but a commodity, just like a PC, the user would have the choice of booting (or dual booting?) his device with any one of the WM, Android or Symbian OSs.

I can't wait to see what this android is but what I already appreciate is the openness to developpers. If developpers find it easy and free then I wish the best to Android. Apple applications are expensive, Microsoft not very friendly, sure there is space for google. The OS market is quite competitive now, I'm not sure there is space for everyone but the future will tell us :)

judging by all those articles on the internet, i bet that these android-powered devices must be damn expensive.
so i better stick to my cheap old symbian-powered phone until those android phones have an acceptable price.

yea i would agree with what people are saying that the Android is almost like a open invitation to manufacturers like LG who don really have a consistent os with a market for 3rd party apps, i bet Samsung will be one of the first devices with Android they are everywhere man

Good point. Google doesn't screw up. Apple's it just works slogan, should be googles. This will work, and it will be better than Apple's horrible little system. And don't dare flame me, I have an iphone
