1. Why people here keep... more>What's the problem with 8+ Gen 1? Just because it's slightly slower than 8 Gen 2?
Because people here are stupid and care about meaningless benchmarks to justify why their crap tier chinese phone with some poorly binned but high tier chip for the price is literally the the second coming of christ.

SShreyas, 04 Jun 2023Geekbench is the most retarded platform to compare anything... moreAll synthetics are stupid ways to quantify performance. Benchmark gaming is egregious, especially in the mobile space and phones act basically like space heaters during benchmark runs to get their scores.

Better look for AnTuTu scorres for making a comparison for smartphones and 3D Mark/Cinebench for PCs

I'm seriously not sure what's the fuss about. If this phone costs 599 odd, it's a damn good deal for it. They tend not to overprice their phones. Just put a same/similar design + display, improve the cameras and processor add 200$ on price of phone one and you have a winner winner chicken dinner

If it has triple camera with near inch sensor, a decent battery size and not flat size and back, I'll get this.

kevvv, 11 Mar 2023First of all, it's the problem from the Pixel's T... moreOn Samsung you can uninstall all the secondary apps that belong to them. That's what I did on S21 Ultra. As for Xiaomi, I don't know if you can uninstall all of them so your point is 50% useless.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2023Its amazing how brainwashed Google has made some people tha... moreFirst of all, it's the problem from the Pixel's Tensor chip itself. It's a pure crap in terms of performance if you compared it even with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 or Dimensity 9000.
Secondly, It's amazing how some Samsung or Xiaomi fanboys are getting brainwashed that they think they are getting a better or same experience by having two apps with same functionality on their phone. (Samsung Internet/Mi Browser installed together with Chrome, Spotify on Samsung installed together YouTube Music, Samsung Messages installed together with Google Messages, Galaxy Store/GetApps installed together with Play Store, etc.)
We are in 2023, if you are getting slowdowns on your modern phone it's because the old point is still stands - your vendor is putting too much crap on your device.

I am a little bit confused..is it the soc that is super inefficient? Or is that the 8 Gen1 and the 8+ Gen1 is fine?
I think if you dont go for highest performance you should go for efficency over performance

if it works, why replace it with a new one?
I don't even mean that someone has money so they want the best, you just won't notice the difference when you change to a new one

Anonymous, 06 Mar 2023Even SD400 can handle UFC and Mortal Kombat without issues.... moreAnd SD425 can't handle the Android OS. Those games are well-optimized but the Android OS is bloated with a million background processes and trackers and whatnot.
Even SD632 freezes up and lags and stutters and overall struggles to run stock Android.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2023Its amazing how brainwashed Google has made some people tha... moreMan yes because Tensor chips sucks more than ones by Qualcomm or anyone else.
Thats the simple reason.
And more apps running on backround dont means always more features.
You can have 100 apps or even 500 running on backround if you plan use it fine but 98% of people here uses most basic things like brownser, calling messaging maybe facebook, messenger viber, twitter, telegram some games but thats it.
They are no tech geeks. For them apps which they never plan to use but must keep em anyway is nothing but bloatware.
I feel the same way.
Have installed things i use plus navigation which works online and ofline too, some apps for public transportt anywhere within the world few games, mc donalds app taxi app and few more but thats it.
