Anonymous, 07 Mar 2023LoL 🤣 SD 8 Gen 1+ and within this year SD 8 Gen 2+ or 3 pro... moreEven my sd865 phone from 2020 runs everything smoothly, even games like genshin and Apex legends run ultra smoothly. My point is, just because there are more capable chipset on the market, your device running 8+ gen 1 will not get weaker. It is still the flagship chipset from 2 months ago and still capable of running everything for 3-4 years without any hitch.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2023Its amazing how brainwashed Google has made some people tha... moreThat is more of the hardware issue, it's tensor g2 is barely better than snapdragon 865 in terms of performance while also generating a lot more heat so it's always throttling. And indeed, Miui slows down phones considerably. I used to own a poco f1 and it was heating day night on stock miui even while browsing and running youtube in background but when I installed a custom rom, it never heated and ran everything smoothly.
Also, every chip generates heat and throttles, so your point of handling as many background apps without heating is invalid, you device don't heat because miui kills every background app as soon as you minimise it.
Also, stock Android now a days has most if not every necessary features that the bloated miui has, any other features people need is easily available through apps, I'd rather have only the apps I need and not bloating my phone with unnecessary stuff nobody uses.

This will be just another "max 2 years worth of updates" experience regardless of what's inside.
That's the MO of most chinese based companies and nothing will change anytime soon.

We are in 2023, if you are getting slowdowns on your modern phone by having apps running in the background maybe stop downloading "sexy desktop app FREE"
Ironically I can run Genshin on max settings my Xiaomi 12 with apps running in the background despite the MIUI "bloatware" yet Pixel can barely run it in high settings, maybe that's why Pixel had to cut back on the features 😉

Buying S21 makes no sense for someone whoi wants pure andrid experience with minimum apps running on backround.

I have some question for you guys.
1. Why people here keep thinking that Nothing is another BBK brand?
2. Why do people also throw so much hatred at the LED lamps behind them, if that's really the main selling point of Nothing phones?
3. What's the problem with 8+ Gen 1? Just because it's slightly slower than 8 Gen 2?
