Also, using 8 Gen 2 will add more cost to the overall bill since it's still a brand-new SoC, and that's before Nothing consider about using LPDDR5X-8533 RAM and UFS 4.0 internal storage. If they want to keep their competitive pricing advantage, there has to be some compromise.

I can't see any problem giving Android Desktop Mode capability for the masses with that SoC. It won't be a privilege for selected flagship smartphone users anymore, and most first-timers can use it as their first computer.

With Nothing phone 2 i expect decent main and ultrawide cameras(Oneplus 11 have those too)
If you use only main cam then Nord 3 will likely be great phone for the money though!

Alex you fugged it up coz I really thought it would be either 8 Gen 2 or Gen 2+ or whatever they call the next iteration. So, a OnePlus 11R makes sense at this point for me atleast.

It's blazing fast, doesn't throttle and can do pretty much anything I'm throwing at it even gaming emulation. I'd immediately jump into the bandwagon if they ever release the successor of SD 870.
