Preety good move for Nothing uses SD 8+ Gen 1 instead as the best chipset. And he knows this gives hype to the audiences when it comes to marketing their phones with premium quality level. Hope this phone take a long support along with his ambition to make future phones in the upcoming years.

Its a good chip and it's what I was expecting. It's TSMC and battery efficient and more than enough to run the latest games and everyday apps.

There is no proper upgrade in 7 series and in 8 series only good option is this chip.
870 is coming to end of it's life cycle . They stop supporting chip after 3 year or maybe 4 years.
888 was hot mess.
So obviously they will go for only option, as sd 8 gen 2 is new and expensive.

I bet Oneplus 11 kills this phone: faster charging, newest Snapdragon 8 gen 2, good cameras and i doubt Nothing phone 2 will be priced low enough so that regular people who does not like gimmicks will choose that over Oneplus 11!
