Eight of the ten best-selling phones for 2022 were iPhones.

I'm content with MY choices. I use both Samsung and Apple iPhone for different reasons. I've concluded their flagship phones are what I want and so rarely check other reviews(mainly Xiaomi Ultra and Google Pixel Pro). Phone tech development has slowed in the past few years so now I only need to upgrade every 4 years. Fortunately 🙂(I don't trust the battery replacement centres in my country)

Samsung r... moreOverall the study dont show nothing,1st is this ww or just limited to some countries ,cuz if you take EU and US than apple has prob 60% or more is US they have like 80%,not 100% sure but this is my opinion ,second of all how do you group those,cuz samsung moto xiaomi and others use the same specs but dif names apple on the other hand only have 4 models per year,so in light of all that imo yes they might have more sells of the same model cuz it comes under the same name while 5 brands sell the same tech spec in 7 dif model ....and lets face the music here today the last year vs this year is at most a minor jump and once every few year a big hop

      There used to be other brands up there going strong but thanks to fear-mongering by the US and allies to benefit their tech companies lagging against the Chinese competition, we now have less options and higher prices.

        The S series galaxy phones occupy so much space on tech sites but sales are less than 1% of all smartphone sales?

          Disappointed the iPhone Mini did not make the list. The best iPhone of all, in my opinion!

            Yeah, but there is only ONE "apple" phone versus 3,490 brands of Android phone.
            Now if there was only ONE "android" phone, then the comparison would be different.
            Consumers don't want cookie cutter one size fits all phones, or, there would be only
            1,2,3 brands.

              Will take a Samsung flagship instead of any phone. Why? Because even my Samsung midranger runs fine. And One UI it's really cool. And now we have superb updates support.

                    Unknown, 07 Mar 2023I prefer Because it has a very good size and a good price.Good size for what? Texting is bad because of the cramped keyboard, watching movies is out of the question, playing games the same, battery is sh*tty. Not even web browsing is good on that phone.
                    Useless iPhone for 2022-2023 standards. No wonder Apple has decided to leave this design behind. Is not 2015 any more.

Samsung releases dozens of crappy models around the world every year. If you accumulate all the model sales Samsung goes on top, not hard to figure it out. Apple only sells handfull of models way more less than Samsung. Either way Apple is 2nd largest seller after Samsung, so not far from the truth knowing 8 our of 10 most popular models are iphones. And they all expensive, meanwhile two most low end models from Samsung only made the list, meaning Samsung makes peanuts while Apple takes all the profit :)

Apple dominates alm... moreApple dominates premium smart phone sales and this list also shows people would rather purchase an older iphone vs. a current high-end droid. That's more than "just" marketing. It's brand perception and no one matches apple in that regard.

                          I've heard that for years now. People always say apple's success is "just" this or "just" that. Usually, they say it's just marketing or just naive consumers. If it were that simple, other manufacturers would be able to do it too. It's more than "just" something.

I still daily drive a Lumia 950 XL as my secondary phone, and I love this thing. I got it brand new way back in 2015 and it's been in use since then, and still the performance is solid. I really like the design and hand-feel of it, and the OS is just cherry on top. I remember, back then Windows Phone OS looked and felt way better than the iOS or Android counterparts, and it still is notably good.

                                Every year this kind of news comes out. Apple dominates almost all of the top positions when it comes to mobile phone sales. However, Samsung is the brand that sells the most. I ask, how is this possible? Isn't it just marketing by the apple brand?
