It is good, you're trolling here and being in denial with actual facts
      Why S22 Exynos is better?
Geekbench scores are higher, single-core and Multicore are higher, better compute results, better battery efficiency proved by a lot of draining tests, better sustained performance, maintain it's peak performance for longer time, better DLSR and HDR in cameras, the GPU is strong enough and beat the Qualcomm 8 gen 2 in RTX.
We all now that Exynos is good.
You're done with yourself trying to avoid the reality.

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2023SD card WILL slow down your phone and cause it to become un... moreThe SD card is used for STORING DATA, not for running apps from it. This isn't 2010 you geek. Nobody does that anymore.
The most intense thing that you can probably do with the SD card is maybe watch an 8k video from it. But even then, you won't notice any lag or speed issues. Why? Because there are no 8k displays on smartphones, so you will see the video in 2K or even FHD, depending on your phone. Only Sony has 4k displays on their smartphones.
GoPro, professional video cameras and DSLR cameras - they ALL use the SD card - The SD card is actually thriving !
Where is the swappable microSSD for smartphones? Nobody invented it yet , so stay down , you're embarrassing yourself you goofy anon.

Exynos on the S22 was and still is GOOD,. the S23 isn't a huge improvement except battery and some performance, people who have the S22 SD will notice it much more than those people with Exynos variants.

The Exynos division did not close. They still make heaps of these for their low-end and midrange stuff. Their high-end division stopped making it for Samsung, but now they deliver it to Google/Pixel. Whilst making "custom cores" such as the Mongoose, this entire division was closed down back in 2019 or so. Most of the talent moved to other divisions (ie Working on implementing/optimising Stock Cores from ARM Cortex to their silicon), some of them were made redundant (ie Fired), and some simply quit to work for other companies.

                      Mongoose Cores were good.
What you need to remember, is that they are designed based on older ARM cores, so by the time they are released they are somewhat "obsolete". Still the custom work that Samsung put into them still kept them competitive. It's been Samsung's subpar lithography that's been keeping it behind.

Example, the Mongoose v1 was in the works for a couple years. There were no 64bit ARM cores around. The Cortex-A57 was announced already, but that was inefficient, and aimed at servers. The M-v1 built upon it and made huge advancements. By the time we got the M-v1, the Cortex-A72 was released which saw huge architectural improvements. This meant the M-v1 didn't dominate the market like it was supposed to. And in more unfortunate news, Qualcomm had done the same thing, and released their Kryo-1000 custom core, which was slightly better.

By the time, we got the Exynos 990, which had the last chipset M-v5, it was in Early 2020 competing against Cortex-A77 and the Cortex-A77+. Yet, it barely had the updated computational maths from the Cortex-A75 and M-v4. Then there was the subpar lithography. It was a losing match against the HiSilicon Kirin 9000, MediaTek Dimensity 1000, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, and QSD 870.

I'm sad that we lost Tegra, Kryo, and Mongoose. Now there's only stock cores. Which means a big probability that after 2024, we will plateau in this field. Not unless another competitor emerges with something innovative. While all eyes are on Qualcomm with their Nuvia-cores, I really don't have much hope for it. Back in 2019 it would've been competitive, but in 2025, it probably won't be dominating stock cores like the Cortex-A730 and the Cortex-X4, whilst it likely is going to be trounced by Apple's A17 and M3 chips (let alone their updated variants).

Am I the only one reading it as: it's not true we started hiring now, we've been constantly hiring for a while?

The Galaxy S22 was a huge disappointment because of its poor, bad Qualcomm processor, since most of the world got that variant, most S22 users with SD are switching it to the S23 more than the S22 Exynos users, the S22 SD was worse than the S22 Exynos, you must be trolluing saying that the S22 was a huge disappoint because of Exynos, wasn't, only search for the GPU RTX benchmark, the Exynos 2200 outperforms the Qualcomm 8 gen 2 in RTX.
