This are the best phones on the market right now and you can't go wrong with any of them.
No matter what the reviewers say (because some say that the iPhone is better, others that the Samsung is better), they are both very good phones.
The advantage I see with Samsung phones (and I don't want to talk about the Ui comparison), is the fact that the prices go down much faster than on iPhones. So, is good to wait a little bit and buy them second hand or like new.

To give you a comparison, you can find nowadays an S22 Ultra (base model), in second hand (quality A with 12 months warranty) for 730EUR. The iPhone equivalent of this, which is the iPhone 13 Pro Max, cost at the same store 1000EUR (base model, quality A, 12 months warranty). Even though both models cost last year, around 1350EUR as new phones (at least in my country). Maybe the S22 Ultra was 50EUR cheaper, 1300EUR.
Of course, is a bad thing for people who buy Samsung phones in day 1. Because they loose value fast. But, in my opinion, and as an advice, never buy Samsung phones in day 1 release.

bulbulito.bayagbag, 04 Apr 2023Always second best to Apple, unfortunately.LOL you saying what? Samsung has been heavily beating Apple without any remorse over the past years, with the iPhone 13 Pro Max, Apple came closer yet it still wasn't as good and complete as S22 Ultra but for example it had a much better battery life, in real life usage almost as twice as good.

But this year the Samsung S23 Ultra is so good it's mind blowing as it's superior to the 14 PM in basically everything and they've made a miracle as the S23U battery performance over the S22U is extreme to the point while it's even slightly better than the i14 PM battery and it charges from 0 to 100% in 55 minutes while 14 PM needs almost 2 hours.

I have had a 512GB iPhone 14 Pro Max before I bought a 1TB Samsung S23 Ultra and I have had all Samsung S/Note Ultra and all iPhone Pro Max every year, always keeping the iPhones because of their much better battery life except for the Note 10+ which had almost the same SoT as iPhone 11 Pro Max so I kept the Note 10+ yet it was a better phone.

But not in 2020 2021 2022 as I'm from Europe and Exynos had so bad battery and even Snapdragon 888 and 8 Gen 1 were bad too. I'm not any brand fanboy and I switch gadgets on a yearly basis thanks to a good exchange program my company has, I am more an Apple user than a Android one, well in Android only Samsung better said as I won't ever buy any chinese brand as they all suck in my opinion.

I even have an iPad and AirPods yet I'm switching to Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro as both are better than their Apple counterparts, both Tab S8 Ultra and S23 Ultra are without any doubt the best tablet and phone available right now. We'll meet again next year as if things change I'll switch back to iPhone but 2023 is undoubtely for Samsung and I know many colleagues who also switched to Samsung this year. One of them didn't have a Samsung since Note 3 lol.

Hanif Fikri, 04 Apr 2023Color accuracy on samsung is meh...quite alot complains the... moreWtf are you talking about? The Samsung S23 Ultra has the best smartphone screen right now, the color gammut and the contrast are excellent, basically perfection. Don't talk and don't make claims if have only touched it in a mall.

I have had a 512GB iPhone 14 Pro Max before buying a 1TB Samsung S23 Ultra and the Samsung has better screen, I have compared them face to face. S23U easy win.

Well it's actually better in everything and the battery charges twice as fast despite having a bigger battery. It's the first time a Samsung Ultra outperforms an iPhone Pro Max in battery SoT as well, GSMArena proves it with 126h vs 121h endurance rating which is quite crazy given the fact the S22 Ultra had a terrible battery and 13 PM was a beast just like 14 PM is, but Samsung improvement in 1 year is extreme.

Folks both are so bulky I will rather prefer Sony Xperia 1 V. The lightest and the sleekest with legendary Sony lenses for the best photography. I bet that's the best option today.

Long support used to be a good thing when it was optional. Now Apple makes it mandatory and uses it as a method to force its new policies, add-, or rather replace-for-subscription features at will without user option to decline. They can because the EULA has to be accepted each new update. It's also a method to expire certificates and therefore authorization of purchased content obligating the user to be logged in (and send all that identifiable data that comes with it) which eventually updates the app or the system invalidating the purchase and forcing the user to update/upgrade. This is aided by the dark patterns in the system to make it easy to accidentally during the repetitive nagging and way too cumbersome to decline them, which technically is just postpone, not really decline.

In other words, your out of support device no longer can use the apps installed because they expire and cannot reauthorize them because of some obstacle of these. No not tout updates as a good thing, they aren't anymore.

They prefer to go the Apple route, provide long os support. 25-45w is not bad, 10w is.
