Overpriced, but I like the concept. To fight this phone addiction you cold also buy an Apple Watch too or Galaxy Watch, where you can make calls and listen to music, and even use Todoist, TickTick or whatever.
The advantage of having an actual phone to fight phone addiction is that you have a camera and of course another software features. But sometimes a good smartwatch can be the solution. The point here is not the price, this phone costs the same as an Apple Watch SE for example, but different approaches to fight this distraction.

I was looking at replacing my 5yr old 5inch Lenovo vibe k5 plus. Sd this costs 2.5x the price for a lillte more memory. Sad..

No gaming and short video apps to distract their children while studying is the main point of this phone. Another plus point is without Google constantly running in the background, this phone has amazing battery life.

Just to note for everyone else reading this, You dont need an expensive camera system if you wont be posting pics in FB, Insta, etc. You dont need high end processor since you wont be running games, the G99 is enough for simple things.
You dont need a massive 5000+ mah battery since the main point of this device is to stop you from getting addicted and using a phone for long-ass time in a day, 2500mah is enough for simple browsing, texting, etc that most users would do in this phone.
Yes the RAM is overkill but it helps ensure smooth operation of the phone and most importatly, it futureproofs the device which is probably an important factor for people who doesnt want the most cutting edge new specs for games, apps, etc.

Interesting phone. I'd like to buy one but at $250 is a bit too overpriced. $150 would be better. It can be 128 GB instead because no one will actually require 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage on a phone this small

My old Xiaomi Redmi 3 had the same 5 inch screen, but 4000 mah battery and 13 mpx camera! It is not a progress it is a regres in phone's industry.

It's all nice on the size and so on but the phone dont need to be so thin that it wont even have space to have 4000mAh battery in it.
Also why do you need 8GB or ram for this when your fighting off addicting apps. Like 4GB should be enough for that reason so you wont be tempted have lots of apps.
Also be nice if they move the bezel on top so they can have the selfie cam in it so they dont need to make a hole in the screen.
Even tough i would want this size of a phone it wont come to my country anyways. Xiaomi be nice and dont back up other brands and do one of there own with 4000mAh batter in the same size with fhd screen and less bezel or move the screen so there be same amount of bezel on top and bottom. I dont mind if the phone be 10mm thick so it can have more battery in it
