14 March 2023
The phone boots a custom Android 12 UI with its own app store that does not include games and short video apps.

Helio G99 paired with a 5 inch HD+ display might actually perform really really well.

Seems like a decent phone. Good chipset for day to day use, hd screen is good enough on 5 inch display, that's over 300ppi. Battery could have been 3000mah. Overall a good deal, would be better if it was 200$. Also finally a compact phone

THIS IS NOT MADE BY XIAOMI.
It is a branding phone, duoqin, which is a xiaomi ecosystem brand

If this was priced a fair bit cheaper (around or below $200) and you could stuff a custom ROM inside it, then it could probably be a good small phone like some have been asking for. Too bad it's likely China only.

Also, chin, but for a size like this it seems slightly more understandable. Ironic since Qin does sounds like 'chin' in English.

Great. Looking at the pictures, it could be similar in size to the iPhone 5s. I‘d like more competition in the size category of the iPhone 13 mini, but I‘m happy about any phone under 6“ that is released.

AnonD-1086827, 14 Mar 2023"..in a bid to help eliminate unwanted distractions.&q... moreIt made for kids..block adult stuff, etc

lmao $250? You'd be better off buying pixel 6a and disabling all the bs you don't want. Xiaomi is absolute cringe at this point

How can a 2500 mAh battery can stand for 7 days standby? Is that a feature phone?

Xiaomi overprices stuff too much. Expect their cars to be like Ford Focus level, but for price of Ferrari

"..in a bid to help eliminate unwanted distractions."
                                  How about unwanted ads?

Also, it sounds funny to me. They made a smartphone to fight off addiction of apps. Is like making a car to help people fight off addiction of driving and use public transportation more.
