Ppl are waking up to the fact crapmi note is not worth their money.
Better to save money, get iphone because it is what they want and keep it 5 years instead of buying crapmi notd every year.

Online, I saw Snapdragon 750G enabled Samsung F23 phone retailing for around Rs. 13500, this is around $160 or so, and is a fantastic deal for a Samsung.
Similarly, a lot of Samsung phones are now great deals.
S20 FE can be had for Rs. 30000, with Snapdragon 865, almost the same as chinese makers.

Plus, what has changed at Mi is gradual removal of MicroSD card and 3.5mm jack even in mid range segment, Redmi note 12 series for example.
Plus, their MIUI continues to be an un-understandable mess. You need an MIUI expert to configure it, starting with disabling ads in various parts of UI, removing useless apps, removing Glance for Mi (bloatware) and so.
I hope the market punishes Mi. Even I had 2 Mi phones, not anymore.

Smartphone industry isn't changing much these days. Manufacturers are cutting corners and the new devices aren't exactly better than their predecessors. Clearly 'Samsung isn't doing something', other than selling downgraded phones, like the Chinese manufacturers.

Their midrangers are no longer worth the money, and flagship killers just dissapeared with the concept itself

That's because Samsung phones are the best (when talking about Android). And One Ui is one of the best Android skins.
Maybe their prices have gone up in recent years, but so did the prices of other manufacturers. At least, Samsung is doing something (software and hardware). Chinese companies are just increasing numbers on paper. This approach worked initially, but it seems is not working any more.

Standard of living increases? Those who can afford it are already using it. Those who can't won't be able to in the near future.

Xiaomi is completely done in Indiana market because of their customer service, lack of software updates and dead motherboard issues.
