I guess nobody got the name right then, lmao.
I reckon they will probably release a standard 7 Gen 2 at some point, which will probably just be an under-clocked version of this.
Not half bad, though.

CargoJoe, 17 Mar 2023Hopefully this is true. SD7G1 was introduced for more than ... moreLow yield from Samsung foundries and high prices prevented OEMs from using the 7gen1. The 7gen1, like the 8gen1, also perform worse than expected because of overheating and poor efficiency.

Wired with my laptop but wireless with my phone. I don't want messy wires while taking a bus. As for sound quality it depends. Serious in ear monitors are miles better than tws earbuds but basic wired earphone are jokes compared by great tws models.

I hope there is a Samsung Galaxy A54s planned to get released with this chipset. It would sell like hot cakes ✔📱

To use Cpu for encode/decode in phone it would use lot of power and overheat phones.

I persoanlly felt the difference when i used my dad's xiaomi 12 pro over my OP Nord. But then you could argue that I am a tech geek so i can notice the differences much more easily.

Cah Nglayab, 17 Mar 2023I'm talking about this specific 7+G2 🙄It doesn't matter anyway. At the end of the day, average consumers don't care about having the latest version of UFS or LPDDR. As long as it "just works" for them in everyday use, that's all that matters. If anything, I see more average consumers care about relevant features like the headphone jack and microSD card support.

It might be 4.5 years old now, but I'm still impressed with the chipset and storage speed. It still clocks a healthy 80MB/s of data speed when transferring files within the internal storage. I still love that phone a lot.

Whose going to be the first to use it? Only Oppo and Xiaomi use 7 Gen 1, and you can see how bad the Xiaomi 13 Lite scores in the benchmark tests.
