hmm, 17 Mar 2023Weird i have not seen a lot of phones have 7 Gen 1 on then ... moreOppo used 7 Gen 1 in the China Reno8 Pro. It was such a disappointment that it prompted Oppo to use 778G for the vanilla Reno9 and use Dimensity 8100 for the Reno9 Pro.

kevvv, 17 Mar 2023You mean 782G? Damn dude we really called a 1-year old chip... moreThere are a lot who think like that in here.
Some even complain that when chip is like half a year old and think it's a phone from 2013 or so.

It all comes down to price , if phones with
SD7+gen2 same or close to price of phones with SD8+gen1 , then it's DOA.

          Great level gpu. Snapdragon 7 gen 1 antutu score 180000. Snapdragon 888, 320000. Snapdragon 8 gen1, 450000. Snapdragon 7+ gen 2, 360000.

Hopefully this is true. SD7G1 was introduced for more than a year now and too few devices are supporting this chip. Hopefully there will be a SD7+G2 device cause adoption on new gen is pretty low for a few years now.

Weird i have not seen a lot of phones have 7 Gen 1 on then and there is already 7+ gen 2 coming
Was there also 7+ Gen 1 ? and just 7 gen 2 ? Without the plus.

Never mind that the 7 gen 1 feels like 778 or 782

Irwanchel, 17 Mar 2023Sadly it is still ufs 3.1 and lpddr5. Not the ufs 4.0 and lpddr5xMy LG V50 only has 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 internal storage. And yet, I have no problem rendering a relatively simple 1080p/60fps video for Instagram and Twitter using PowerDirector or LumaFusion for no more than 15 to 20 seconds. I also have no problem continuously playing mobile games and console emulators, including AetherSX2, at High settings. Not everyone needs the very latest RAM and UFS version. Some might even think of it as overkill.

960, 17 Mar 2023And this is what the Galaxy A54 should have had. SD 7 Gen 2... moreThat's A54, not A54s. Different class, A52s wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for chipset shortage. A54 is way better than A52 for example and A53. We won't see A5xs series unless if chipset shortage happens again or something else.

Anonymous, 17 Mar 2023finally new breath to midrange Hope makers gonma stop with... moreYou mean 782G? Damn dude we really called a 1-year old chipset "dated" nowadays. 💀

Emx, 17 Mar 2023And Xiaomi is here giving us snap 695 for 300-400 USD phones Which one? As far as I know Poco X5 is under USD300

And this is what the Galaxy A54 should have had. SD 7 Gen 2 and a headphone jack would have made it a true successor to the A52s.

I only use social medias/texts anyways so exynos inside A54 seems more than enough for my usage.

The 8 Plus Gen 1 was on a different node than the 8 Gen 1. Maybe it's just a vehicle to indicate a mid-year refresh, so that they don't have to chew through 2 Generation numbers per year.
