Irwanchel, 17 Mar 2023Sadly it is still ufs 3.1 and lpddr5. Not the ufs 4.0 and lpddr5xHahaha lpddr5 & lpddr5x is just marginaly better. Bet how many midrange use lpddr5 prior 2023? Comparing ddr4 & ddr5 make sense since the perf. different is bigger. So stop complaining like ddr5 is slow sh8.

Looks like its is higher clocked version of 7 Gen 1.

Like if you read modem specification 8+G1 support X65 modem with up to 10Gbps speed, while 7+G2 support X62 modem up to 4.4Gbps.

Sadly it is still ufs 3.1 and lpddr5. Not the ufs 4.0 and lpddr5x

And Xiaomi is here giving us snap 695 for 300-400 USD phones

UltraHD, 17 Mar 2023If 7+ Gen 2 was inside Galaxy A54, it could've been be... moreIf that had been the case, the A54 would have cost at least $200 more than it does today.
Considering that price is the number one reason people buy Samsung's A-series, that's impossible.

Cah Nglayab, 17 Mar 2023My only hope is that this chipset doesn't overheat lik... moreI find the naming scheme for Qualcomm's new SoC easy to understand. Instead of using 4/6/7/8 followed by two unknown numbers after it, it's easy to tell which generation you are looking for. If it's an overclocked version, just put a '+' sign.

7+ Gen 2 is quite a jump from the existing 7 Gen 1, especially when the 8+ Gen 2 does not yet exist. That said, I wonder which ARM Cortex CPU Qualcomm use for this one. For some unknown reasons, Qualcomm has been shy about mentioning the Cortex CPU alongside the Adreno GPU on their website since releasing SoCs under the new naming scheme. Even the 4 Gen 1 has an unknown Kryo CPU and Adreno GPU.

UltraHD, 17 Mar 2023If 7+ Gen 2 was inside Galaxy A54, it could've been be... moreIt would not have made a big difference in sales because 98% of people don’t care about the SoC. If they want to appear knowledged, they will compare the amount of RAM and number of camera lenses but of course those specs don’t mean anything.

UltraHD, 17 Mar 2023If 7+ Gen 2 was inside Galaxy A54, it could've been be... moreWe can only hope for an A54s with 7+ gen 2

If 7+ Gen 2 was inside Galaxy A54, it could've been be a beast and could've sell like a cake.

Soo what redmi note 12 turbo or poco f5 or realme gt neo 5 se gonna come with?

Gusta, 17 Mar 2023Yes.. why is it not just 7 gen 2?I think it's supposed to signify that the improvement is quite a leap from 7 gen 1 so they skipped two naming sequels (7+ gen 1 & 7 gen 2)

Anonymous, 17 Mar 2023This gonna be TSMC fabbed or SCAMsung? It used on TSMC. no Samsung fabrication there on SD 7+ Gen 2.

dont care i bet i could get sd8+ gen 1 phone by now for almsot exact the same price as sd7+ gen 2

We don't know why it's called the 7+ Gen 2 if it's a downclocked version of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

I bet there's also going to be a 6 Gen 1 in the future too.
