I checked my FB app, 448mb of background data for this month, tiktok uses 376mb, twitter uses 297mb, even google message background data is higher than it's foreground data usage.
you're naive if you really think the main reason for this ban is because of spying issue.
meta for example paid the largest republican firm in the US to ban TikTok, after congress promise to ban TikTok, meta announced that they will stop paying it's reels creator, convenient right? kill the competitor so FB don't need to offer incentive for it's creator bec FB knows creators have no choice now.

All social media apps need to be inspected and suspected the same way countries do on tiktok. Twitter, Meta, Google apps monitor or collect data 👀.

If you deny the fact that they spy, well you do not understand networks. Anyway, affter cleaning tik tok, they should also clean everything stupid, especially violent stupid.... I actually agree with tiktok the ban is all about finances of big companies trying one up each other and govs
The tiktok app could do with some improvements for user privacy something I personally feel every app and website needs improve on
Am guessing tiktok app going get banned sooner or later any YouTube competitor always get ended for example vidme
Anyway I am wondering what other people's opinions are and choice they make will be if they choose too trust tiktok or not

I wish more governments cracked down on FB and Insta as well. Atleast make them not pre installable on devices. But nope, to cite some comments online - "It's all okay as long as the company is American"
