found an oppo r7s in the trash and i would say that colour os runs better on 4gb ram than samsung one ui so the a54 with 8gb ram is the only model worth purchasing although the price of the phone is the problem.

rizki1, 23 Mar 2023what is that below average experience? GSMArena has proven ... moreLol, proven how? By using a phone for 1-2 weeks? Yeah, those reviews are good to give you an initial idea about a particular model.
But, how many times they revisited a phone after, let's say 6 months or 1 year, to see how the phone aged in that time? What software updates it received and what other problems may it had. Very few times they did this and only with some very well known models.

Patrik, 23 Mar 2023Yeah you are right, poor people. Here in Europe chinese bra... moreYes, you are right. I live in Czechia too (since 2017) and I saw the exact trend you are describing.
Initially, I felt also for the approach of Chinese brands. I had BBK phones, Xiaomi phones, because they had good specs at lower prices. But, their software support was average or none at all, for some models. I mean, I needed to wait even 4-5 months in some cases for 1 security update. Not to mention, if something was not working in the phone (and could have been corrected through a software update, good luck with that). Some models were better than others, but it was always 50-50 chance to get a bad model.
And since 2-3 years, when they started increasing their prices, at the same level of Samsung or Apple, but kept the same average software support, I said bye bye. It was no longer logical for me to continue buy them.

my only concern is exynos chip, it could drain the big battery faster resulting in 4000mah battery life realistically. Overall seems like a good phone for mid range with 5yr support. I think it has everything you need from a modern smartphone in 2023.

Water protection, great display, memory card slot, good software, 5yr support, camera should be good enough.

He said that the previous A series phones had vibration from lower end teritory.

AleonN, 23 Mar 2023I've been looking for an upgrade from a Samsung A50. ... moreWhat are you talking about? Battery is the same as ever other 5000mah units. The performance will be perfectly reliable. Your literally being a drama queen for the sake of GSMARENA comments. This phone will be substantially better than your A50. Stop being so silly.

rizki1, 23 Mar 2023what is that below average experience? GSMArena has proven ... moreI would say Xiaomi phones are better than Samsung, but they lack consistency.
They are a bit buggy, with rare, minor but noticeable lags and stutters.
And the Android experience is very custom, it might take you a bit to get accustomed to it. But it is complete and functional.
They do offer the occasional brilliant feature.

I've been looking for an upgrade from a Samsung A50.
Was eagerly waiting for this one, since the A53 was underwhelming.
Well it looks like it's not gonna happen.
My criteria was a reliable phone, with good performance and battery that would last me 2-3 years. Nothing fancy.
The A54 seems to be the opposite of that. All gimmicks, no substance.
And with an increased price tag too.
I'll be looking elsewhere for my upgrade

                                    2) Exynos 1380- sustained performance and overheating/throttling.

                                    3) Storage type whether it is UFS 2.2 or UFS 3.1

Here in Europe chinese brands are no longer competitive. A54 is cheaper than Nord 2T and Xiaomi 13 Lite. Xiaomi 13 costs same as S23 and Xiaomi 13 Pro costs same as S23 Ultra or iPhone 14 Pro. The same price will be for the Honor Magic 5 Pro. And Honor Magic Vs same price as Z Fold4. And i don't want to see the price of Xiaomi 13 Ultra here. Also vivo v25 (non pro) is the same price as A54. And oppo is everywhere in Europe. Oppo and realme ran out from my country (Czechia) even though realme was No 4 vendor here after Samsung, Apple and Xiaomi and in 2020 they had 220% growth over year here. But now nobody cares about them.

rizki1, 23 Mar 2023I want to know what is the real reason you are going to buy this?I had Chinese phones from OnePlus, Xiaomi, Realme and Motorola. I had below average experience with each one of them. Even though they were mid-range or upper mid-range models.
In comparison I never had a truly bad experience with any iPhone or Samsung phone. And I had just about every model from 200EUR to 800EUR.
Now, when I experienced something like this (and looking at the market values, probably other people experience it too), how can I go an buy some Chinese phone with nice specs on paper, instead of a Samsung phone?
As for the price of Samsung phones, this are always going down. For example, I can already find S23 series in discounts. And that is a 1 month old model. Nobody is forcing you to buy Samsung phones in day 1 release.
