And there is a reason why Samsung had to change their A lineup: it didnt have the best sales number. Instead of going up, people opted to buy J series.

So guys, Czech store Hurá mobil made a review of A54 and in short: Exynos is good, power efficiency and its not over heating but the UI is laggy. He confirmed that A54 uses Sony IMX 766 sensor and he said the if you have A52 series or A53 you don't have to upgrade, but if you want a new phone why not. There were also have camera samples and A54 captures much better photos than A53 or A34.

The only things better on the A5 (2016) are build quality, FM radio and real proximity sensor, the A54 is miles ahead in everything else.

Just too expensive for what is a minimal upgrade on A53 or indeed A52s. At 300euros you can forgive some weaknesses but at the price it is now the specs are too mediocre.

But it could be that a) Exynos is good, b) that Xiaomi fucked their optimalizatios as always and tbh there will not be many updates to iprove that I saw that when I had Xiaomi 11T or c) it could be both. Also geekbench says that A54 is faster than Xiaomi 13 Lite with Snapdragon 7 gen 1. And in Europe Xiaomi 13 Lite is more expensiver than A54 (in Czechia A54 8/128 costs 498 euro).

And that factor alone puts them at a significant disadvantage when compared to Qualcomm's SoCs manufactured in TSMC's foundaries. SD 7 Gen 1 suffered the inefficiency issue because it was manufactured in Samsung's foundary while SD 778G did not suffer the same issue because it was manufactured in TSMC's foundary. So we have to wait for the reviews of phones with Samsung's new SOC to be available. And we need to look at the battery life section and sustained performance sections to make informed opinion about whether Samsung's new SoCs used in Samsung Galaxy A54 or A34 are any good.
