S2 owner, 02 Apr 2013just Wondering why people need this in their smartphones that`s the business strategy, people love to read about the smartphone now with the higher, bigger and better specification, and the manufacturer`s are putting it on their specification list even though it looks not too necessary, just to pleased the customers.if you notice almost everybody are comparing and telling this one is better than another because of what they read on the specification.the louder rumor the better business for the manufacturer, because they can see their market are alive, that`s the way and maybe it`s much better for us to choose only a device that will fit to our lifestyle.it is better no to comment bad with hatred to comment box but only with opinion that are helpful to each other.

lol, 02 Apr 2013x86 is 15 times faster than A15 so A57 will still be 5 time... moreActually it's 2 times faster per clock: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=samsung_exynos5_dual&num=

A57 -though- would end up only 60f faster so still not quite matching x86 performance ., but they're getting waaay too close. Intel ought to be afraid...

You're using the 2.0Ghz for your calculation. Try 3.0Ghz!

Also, keep in mind that at 16nm, this will also be FAR less power consuming than current mobile chips, at the same clock, and about as efficient on maximum clock speed (~3.0ghz)

All in all, power per Wat Intel is looking blown away by orders of magnitude and abeyond comparison

                                    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instructions_per_second

Dual core A15 pushes 14,000 MIPS at 2.0 GHz. Theoretical maximum is likely to be 28k for quad core x 3 (the performance advantage of A57 over A15) = 84k MIPS. Of course the final performance is going to be lower, but to put it in a perspective the fastest desktop Phenom 2 from AMD pushes ~80k MIPS and i7 extreme edition (the hex core one) does ~177kMIPS. Sure, X86 is more advanced and mature and whatnow, but judging the speed at which ARM CPUs evolve, they're going to rule the market not as far from now as most people might think. A57 is going to be "faster" than 5 year old high end desktop CPUs!

The IGP on intel CPU is very fast compared to current mobile graphics but consume much more power. This will change when broadwell comes out with its rebust IGP
