16nm nice but also bad gusse will be waiting 3-5 years for it to reach consumers.

Intel will be using its 14nm in mobile CPU when this chip launches.

Arm has no chance in tablet market when intel releases skylake or skymount

lol, 02 Apr 2013x86 is 15 times faster than A15 so A57 will still be 5 time... moreCompared to what? Desktop I7s? A15 outperforms current-gen Atoms, if claims are correct A57 will be in range of ULV i3s Sandy Bridge while consuming a fraction of its energy and generating funny amounts of heat.
Also, combining these with Rogue GPUs the performance will be ridiculously high for mobile devices. We're talking Xbox360-esque graphics and ultrabook-worthy CPU performance.

I WILL WAIT and not buy a phone till A57 comes to market in phones. Looks best.

You really have to wonder what Apple will put in its iPhone 5S. Can you imagine it smokes the SGS IV? A phone who's only advantage to some people is its benchmarks.

Anonymous, 02 Apr 2013...and what about a CPU with same power of a15 (I think it'... moreCan you not read man? It says - "And if its battery life you're after, the A57 can match the Cortex A15 performance while consuming up to five times less power"

...and what about a CPU with same power of a15 (I think it's enough for now) but with LOWER energy consumption!?!? Why should we carry a phone that cannot last one whole day!?

Amazing. They completed it before the planned date. So we have the first A15 chips now and A57 is around the corner, probably the first Exynos running it will be out some time in 2014.. nice.

                  "the transistors are still 20nm"

                  So why the 16nm title?

a long lasting phone will be achived due energy efficiency since battery development is not that fast.

i wonder when the first real PC manufactor will say hi to this kind of cpu.

There goes the S4 lol.. its going to be 3 times faster than the S4, I think end of the day it shouldnt be considered how fast the processor is going to be, as nowadays processors has no way of running in there capacity, perhaps if it can run Windows 7 without a glitch on a 5 inch mobile device, that would be an achievement and also if it could run PS3 games.

They can go down to 4 atoms theoretically before electricity wont flow.I think the GPU will assist in computations in future,,i want more GHZ for single proccess application not quadcores but they seem to top out at 4GHZ per core as an average..

even thou the mobile SoC ARM's has done huge steps forward in perfomance i dont expect nothing particulary spectacular from Cortex-A57 this one right now seems to me like those youtube videos that showed the new iPhone 5 that would recieve command thru telepathy :P
