this is a bit sad, since i did like the legion phone designs more than the rog phones, and also the legion y700 tablet which i was hoping could be updated and upgraded will never happen.

I like the legion y70 gaming smartphone. Does this mean it will stop to supporting future software updates?

Much better for a Series S owner to just buy two Series S lmao.

And Xbox SSDs are propriety locked down ones. Better to just buy a new one than have it repaired.

You make fun of gaming phones but flagships get bought by the masses and yet they are used by the same people like a midranger phones.

Now that is an even bigger scam.

Just like MSI GS66 buyers who swear by it but throttles heavily and not performing based on what they paid for.

In my book they're at least a breath of fresh air in a world of more & more generic slabs.
So yeah, I'm glad they exist even though I would never consider one.

mehami, 29 Mar 2023Mobile gaming must have a dedicated graphics chip. Like Nvi... moreI have been telling this for years. Dedicated hardware and dedicated games that would be a gaming phone. Now any phone can game, what's the point to own a "gaming"phone which plays same games as any other mobile phone for fraction of the price? It is not PC gaming where hardware matters, here hardware has basically no impact on mobile games.

Lol gaming phones, it has as much usefulness as phones without cameras :)

Mobile gaming must have a dedicated graphics chip. Like Nvidia Tegra should have exclusive games. What Kokel could do was to create exclusive games that could not be run on regular mobile phones. And only these games should be run on gaming mobiles.

The problem with gaming mobile phones is that they are not gaming at all! The world's only real gaming mobile was the Sony Xperia Play with physical game keys. And this is a requirement of a mobile gaming.

The Legion Y700 is by far the best tablet I have ever owned. I also have the iPad Mini 6. Y700 is miles better IMO, but I find iOS pretty useless in general.

                                Oh no...

                                Anyways

This is sad. This means less competition, and the duopoly of Blackshark and ROG (or trio, if you count RedMagic) means that there is less for consumers to pick on and companies won't strive for improvements bcs of the lack of competitors.

Kinda sad since the Legion phones do have a lot of promise, however the promises stayed as is; no better implementation. I hope RedMagic won't follow suit since they are quite a looker.

I'm glad. This means people didn't fall on the scam.

Gaming phones are just overpriced flagship killers. They are in the same bag as "gaming chairs"

                                      Good riddance!
