I know OnePlus hasn't been the same flagship killer brand for several years by now, but seeing how they're doing this gimmicky nonsense is really disheartening.

Bruh. The surface is made entirely of out gas, it's a gas giant ffs. Why not just call it Jupiter Edition? OnePlus should be ashamed of themselves for spreading false facts.

This website would be pretty empty if it wasn't for out-of-reach Chinese devices. Actually, I suspect there would be less than ten news a week if it was only for brands & devices available in EU and US areas.
That's how poor our share is. Apple, Samsung, Google, That's pretty much it.
HTC & LG are already gone. Nokia is now just a name used under licence by HMD, to be stamped on some generic e-waste. Motorola is about the same.
Honor will soon be out of Huawei patents to develop new stuff.
Xiaomi never cared to import the really cool & juicy stuff here.
OnePlus sold its soul along the way, Oxygen OS is now plagued with Color OS all over the place, you might as well just get an Oppo straight of the bat. Both brands are supposedly pulling the plug in the EU, even though they are yet to publicly admit it.
Realme & Vivo remain china-exclusive for the cool stuff.
Meizu seems to be gone, Blackberry as well.
Microsoft pulled the plug on mobile a long time ago, god bless Nokia's soul for believing in them.
Asus is either doing giant gaming phones, or small-sized, pixel-like all rounders.
Either way that's a niche most of us don't care for, we're just glad they exist without ever considering one.
And finally, SONY, doing their own thing as usual. Unveiling a phone, releasing it 6 months after, with crazy camera settings but take a picture on the go and it'll be worse than most flagships.
This blatant lack of competition is directly responsible for the lack of innovation at Samsung, because they don't have to create exciting & innovating devices to get customers since they're basically our only option anyway. Okay you think the S23U is boring asf, even down to its color. Fine, but what else are you gonna buy ?
So yeah, call me Jaded if you want but that's pretty accurate I believe.
