I have both an iPhone and a Samsung, and both are fairly new models. The Android experience is way more satisfying than iOS which feels disjointed and not very intuitive. In my opinion iOS users prefer it because 1) they've never used anything else, or 2) they are locked into the ecosystem or 3) they want less control of their phone and happy for the OS to do all the work for them.

I don't hear too may people who use BOTH operating systems to ever say they prefer iOS. This new version is probably just like the others.

Apple provides much more value than android’s - which are basically paper weights after a couple years.
an Apple phone sells twice the price of an android phone after 4 years even though they were the same price when they launched.
Deny it All you want, Apple > Android.
stop rooting for something that stopped caring for its consumers years ago and is user piracy’s worst nightmare.

But no, these are businesses and they would gladly do anything to sell their most expensive products to consumers. After all, these are profit motive businesses, be it apple, Samsung, sony or any other for that matter.

If I will buy a S23 Ultra or iPhone 14 Pro Max, I don't want to have the same features as a cheaper model from the series.

And I think a lot depends on what kind of update iOS 17 ends up being. Some rumours suggest it’s going to minor, that is to say it’ll be light on user facing features and will focus mainly on behind the scenes optimisation. Others suggest it’s going to be a bigger update with quite a few new features.

If it’s the former then the 8 generation (including the X ) are a shoe in to get it, if it’s the later, then perhaps not. The SE 2020 is a definite either way though.

Every time when I owned an iPhone, I always felt the need to return to Samsung phones.
And nowadays, also Samsung has very good software support. They came a long way.
With Samsung and even Pixel phones on the market, I will never buy another Xiaomi or BBK phone too soon. No matter how good it looks on paper.
