I bought an iPhone 8 Plus for 850 dollars in 2017, I used it until 2022 and that's five years and I sold it for 400 dollars so my phone actually cost me 450 dollars and I had a fast phone with all the updates for 5 years. I don't see any tax and it was a great value for me. Good for the environment, too!

Would rather stick to poco/Samsung and get 2 years less software support instead of dealing with Apple's blatant anti-consumer behaviour.

Right ... Samsung ... The same samsung that never brought Samsung Pay to many countries, the same SAMSUNG that gave away the ONLY service that gave any kind of loyalty towards the brand itself. That my friend was Samsung Cloud, the second best Cloud service in the mobile phones world. All of this to spare costs and introduce microsoft ass services. LOL

even the newer ones like the iPhone XR and XS can no longer play genshin impact on high settings...the fps is stuttering and phone get hot.

But, these phones do have something in common. Their software support will finish in 2023. For the iPhones after 6 years, for Poco F4 after 1 year. Lol.

iOS 17 is supposedly mostly clean up of code and under the hood improvements, so they wont go away this year. Besides, SE 2 shares a lot with iPhone 8, so I doubt they will drop it right now.
Now, next year, yeah, next year it might happen.
