It could be used in many mid ranges this year too specially in neo 5 se. But I guess they ditched it completely to ruin the camera experience, so users could not get a value of money device with great performance + camera experience at the same time until they pay higher for gt3 or may be a gt3 pro. Realme 10 pro+ has a good camera, but again an okayish processor.

Samsung has the longer software support. Realme offers just 3 years even in their flagship products.
The latter part of your comment is true tho, underpowered hardware is Samsung's biggest weakness in the budget + midrange class. But the recent Galaxy F14 is pretty good value tho so maybe they're going to turn around

And you cant update hardware in phone like you can do with PC or Car.

I would complain about 8mp + 2mp camera but darn that price is so tempting with new powerful SD7+G2, large base variant (8+256) good screen, very quick fast charging, large 5000mah battery and 1600 battery cycle. This is so much better than what Xiaomi is offering considering Miui is bad and Redmi/Poco phones by Xiaomi at this price range have terrible hardware QC.

Again, still no SD 7 Gen processors for global market. We didn't even get the Gen 1. I'm starting to believe these processors are just a myth. Until they become real we will get SD 695 and Exynos crap
