May I ask if you can solve the problem that the s23u’s photos will be blurred when shooting fast-moving objects? I hope you can make a video to test, such as shooting your shaking hands. I have tested it, and the iphone will not be blurred, but Samsung will. Excuse me Can the new version solve this problem, because I like to take pictures of pets and children, thank you

Don't forget to backup everything first.
It really sounds to me that you're being hacked to be honest 😂
I won't name the program, but I actually saw on YT a video a few days ago with a program that only needs for you to click on a link. That's it. After that the person that send you the link can access your camera, microphone, location, general data about your phone etc. (it doesn't matter what phone you have)
If it's hopefully not that, it might be a glitch related to remote access (Samsung built-in feature)

Guys I was trying to find any Bugs report on the problem I had, but it seem I am the only one! A week ago or so the camera app was launching on itself multiple times even if the phone is not in use and just sits on the table. I found out unexpectedly because my battery started to drain FAST. When I pick the phone I see camera is on and stays on all the time.(hence battery drain) When i opened the task manager with recent apps I found 15 or 20 camera app windows open at the same time. Cleaning everything from force stopping the App to cleaning the cache and restarting the phone didn't help at all. After 2 days of bugs and being unable to use my phone whatsoever( because the camera app was launching on itself more frequently even during when I was doing something else on phone) I've managed to mitigate the bug by turning off the quick launch double tapping on the power button and turning off the S-Pen so its not always active. After making those changes S-Pen off and quick launch off I have no issues. Hopefully this new camera update is going to fix that, cause I'm sure that this bug still persist and if the problem is in the camera app at all. If not, I think it's an S-Pen issue and if anyone knows how can I report this to Samsung let me know how to do it! Please! Thank you!

TheAlienNextDoor, 04 Apr 2023You lost me at "iPhone is better".
They have h... moreTrue, but do you find S23 Ultra JPG better? I have done tons of comparisons with my GF's 14 PRO and too be honest, in most cases rendering of details in the iPhone is better.
You don't have to take my words for granted, just go to GSMArena tool and compare S23 Ultra and iPhone 14 PRO for yourself: https://www.gsmarena.com/piccmp.php3?idType=4&idPhone1=12024&idPhone2=11860
Look how much halos from over processing S23 Ultra has and how much (I cannot believe that I am saying that) processing of the iPhone photo looks. Again, if you don't zoom or crop your pictures, I think you are fine with almost all phones available on the market, S23 Ultra included. But I think, if device is one of the most expensive ones on the market, and it is being announced as focused on the photos, you should expect more.
Again, it is my personal opinion and you are completely fine with not agreeing with me on that. Maybe I'm just analyzing it too deeply cause for most of my life I was earning money on taking photos. Or maybe we just pay attention to different things in photos. Who know.
But seeing that GCAM thread on XDA forum is most popular one in the S23 Ultra category, I think that means something.
If you are interesting why I prefer iphone rendering over S23 U after work I can upload some comparison. :)

This "major camera" indeed improved a little bit, but S23 photos are still far worse from what we had in 3 year old S20 -,-
Photos are still damn noisy and lack details. Still are oversharpened (though less than before this update) and still look artificial.
I hate S23's camera, really. Huge step back when I compare the photos to my 3 year old S20. The only visible improvement is the video stabilization and videos quality at all. Photos are terrible.

AnonF-1085718, 04 Apr 2023I see better quality in 12mpx auto pics. There's a few... moreMaybe it is the case, and maybe I just miss it but made some comparisons of the same scenery from before and after and cannot spot any progress on any fields. For me 12 Mpix is really bad, I mean, when you do not zoom it at all it is decent, but the detail level is bad. I don't mean sharpening level. That can be controlled by the Camera Assistant, but it only makes details more or less visible, so the actual level of details is exactly the same for all settings. I mean like resolving patterns like grass etc. On 3rd party apps like GCAM, or my GFs iPhone it is better. Damn, even my old OnePlus 7T PRO with GCAM is better (although when you compare stock apps Samsung vs OnePlus, Samsung's one is better). So the hardware is ok, just I think Samsung is still not doing a great job with making software to make proper use of it.

AnonF-1085718, 04 Apr 2023For me everything was working fine on my S23 Ultra and with... moreI have the regular S23, switched from the S22 ultra, couldn't deal with the size, shape and weight of the Ultra anymore.
Only the regular S23 and S23+ had the banana blur issue, while the Ultra had subpar 12mpx pictures. I'm glad Samsung fixed both problems. It's the main reason why I buy Samsung in the first place. Even if there are problems, which is rare, they are very fast in fixing them.
Thanks for the suggestions. I already use both apps and agree that Samsung should have included at least the assistent app preinstalled. The image softening option (aka getting rid of oversharpening) is amazing. I love it. It fixes the only issue I had with Samsung processing, even though Apple is even worse at oversharpening.

Reality Teller, 04 Apr 2023So the S23 Ultra will have an even better camera despite th... moreHonestly it has the best camera setup in overall scenarios (ofc not the best in all, but the most consistent) also as the overall combination such as battery life, screen, audio, software, updates... of course with this camera powerhouse in both selfie, back cameras and video recording with the best stabilization right now. I've never been happier with any phone as I am with the Samsung S23 Ultra and that's what's really important for me. I don't care about d*ck measuring competitions saying who is better than who. For me it's the best. Full stop.

SirArtur, 04 Apr 2023What has changed in 12 Mpix JPGs after this update? I don... moreI see better quality in 12mpx auto pics. There's a few of us in a Telegram group (but in my language, Italian, if you can dm me I'll send you a link) who also noticed this. As for me I've never had over sharpening issues as I've deactivated them with Camera Assistant. It's not like I've had bad 12mpx pics but the downgrade against 50mpx and 200mpx shots was there. Maybe I should try in the same scenarios but I've got that first impression and in that gruppo it seems I'm not the only one.
