Carol, 22 Apr 2023You probably confuse "Best" wirh "Half-price... moreyeah and everyone had it nobody care if something is manufactured exactly same way exact same machines and exact same components.. and only price difference is someone's label and those who stupidly goes with logo or brand are naive.. There is no better or worse quality .. btw these brands.. So everyone in the world didn't care about some nokia and everyone chosed Huawei .. hmm adoring you everyone would laugh at you ... TO invest in telecom equipment and network is not couple of thousands .. For an company to deploy network it cost 100k or 200k and you as well would choose Huawei for 80k rather than 150k would you ? and equipment fulfilling exact same thing what more greedy expensive company does..

We excluded Samsungs contribution so my point is now: who had the idea, who invested billions in research and who made it happen. That answer is Nokia. You can't be better when you steal someone else's technology and sell it at half price. But well, as we can all see, what comes up with such velocity,it comes down even faster. You know why? Well because beeing an a-hole will eventually turn back on you. Apple is next, only surviving because there are way to many investors that won't accept anything less. But at some point in this time, their influence won't matter to people anymore, so their greed will need to turn to other companies.

If we talk the first flexible screen interations then we have to come back to nokia and their flexible smartphone prototype they presented like 12 years ago at nokia world in london. Back then they were investing billions in nano tech and smartphone flexibility research. So if we talk history nokia was the first at it, again. Look for nokia kinetic prototype, there are videos all over the net about/with the device.

In this case I'd say Huawei did nothing wrong, but at this point they can't do anything.

In the words of Steve Jobs/Picasso: "Good artists copy; great artists steal''.
There are more smartphone users in China, than there are in the USA, Europe, Canada & the UK - combined.
More smartphones are sold in China, than any other country.
The Chinese create some very reliable robust devices in line with the amount of devices they manufacturer, and to cater to their substantial customer base, which exceeds those aforementioned countries.
They know what they are doing, as they now have vast experience in this particular field.
In the case with Nokia, Oppo/Vivo chose not to renew the licenses, and now they're experiencing the ramifications for their decision. Whether this will or can be resolved remains to be seen.
Regardless, I don't see anything wrong with chinese brands. In fact, I applaud them. They've done a fantastic job with the implementation of android, and they've challenged US brands in other areas such as photography (Huawei). Well done. I wish them continued success, which I have no doubt they'll attain.

I probably expresed my salf wrong, when i said foldable screens i actually ment flexible screensean screens not phones. Samsung is also a screen manufacturer, as you probably also know. Samsung presented the flexible screens a long time before any foldable phones was an idea. Minding the fact that samsung makes and innovates screen technologies, i have hard times to believe that Royale innovated this screens before samsung.
