vivo is ready to appeal the court decision and is continuing to negotiate a new IP deal with Nokia.

Nokia and BBK ( vivo) are 2 complete different businesses, one offers part of a smartphone and the other offers the complete smartphone.

why u bringin this ??? even BBK has nothing to do with vivo what they do.. BBK is just investment comapny which will invest in certain brands and help them with money to make business then individual companies inside BBK will then from revenue pays to cuts or percentage BBK .. if you decide in china to establish an company you will give title and you can then ask BBK if you can join..
BBK has nothing to do with each smartphone manuf from Oppo or vivo or one plus etc.. BBK don't tell them what to do they just receive % from earnings..

Well if they been paying all chinese b4 for so many years then something must happened and EU don't follow chinese rights ! There must be always reason behind it !

    That's why it's an issue now, there is nothing sudden about this. Nokia gave over a year of time for vivo to renew it and they didn't.

    That's the worst logic I have ever and I mean ever seen.

    Most businesses having deals with each other aren't in competition.. for example Qualcomm, maker of the Snapdragon chipsets isn't in competition with Oppo (or any other smartphone brand), they still have to pay Qualcomm and if they don't, they would also file a lawsuit.

    How do you expect businesses to operate without anyone paying for their products? You wouldn't be able to use 4G without Nokia, think about that.

        Nokia isn't a smartphone company, vivo is a smartphone company, they aren't in competition, they will never be, and they never were to begin with, no reason to be jeaolus.

        Nokia won their case against Oppo, good reason why.

              Agreed, Nokia 9 PureView is an innovative phone, but so is the vivo X50 Pro ( X51 ), so it's not just Nokia that is doing a great job out there.

              For the record, I know one of each upper mentioned phones.

              Innovation is changing the way you use something, and high refresh rate screens certainly did just that.

But anyway, i was talking purely about your claim. Nobody innovated as NOKIA did, for a long time now. To use faster hardware does not mean innovation, it might be innovation for those who actually make it, like the cpu manufacurers, screen manufacturers, ram, glass, and many others. Outside NOKIA till 2014, the hard trying nokia 9 and a few stuff here and there like i said above, there is almost no innovation no matter what brand.

                    In March 2023 Vivo has less than 2% of the market share in Germany, and in most E.U. countries. So this is no big deal.

                      I don't understand your logic behind all this jeaolusy anyways, vivo is mostly a smartphone company, whereas Nokia doesn't even care about smartphones let alone making any, they aren't in competition and they never were to begin with. Nobody is jeaolus or angry here.
