The Vivo Y78+ has a SD695, the S17 series will have a SD778G, Dimensity 8200, and SD 8+ Gen 1.

I don't understand what do you mean by this. I mean, iP14 is their first iPhone generation where they use the same chipset that they used last year for the base and Plus model. They never did something like this before on their iPhone.

I personally know people like that (mostly women and also a few men) who think more RAM equals to better performance. And of course Oppo and Vivo salesmen like the less tech savvy very much.
