vivo's Y78+ 5G has appeared on Geekbench, sporting the model number V2271A. It has 12GB of RAM, runs Android 13, and sports a chipset with the codename 'holi'. That codename could refer both to the Snapdragon 480+ and the Snapdragon 695, but we'd guess the Y78+ will have the latter given the slightly result achieved.

The vivo Y78+ has already been certified with the Chinese TENAA and 3C, and the Google Play Supported Devices list, which should indicate its impending announcement. It has a 4,900mAh battery with 44W charging.

Meanwhile, the vivo S17 series is also on the way and a report out of China's Weibo suggests that the S17e (V2285A), S17 (V2283A), and S17 Pro (V2284A) will use a Dimensity 8200, Snapdragon 778G, and a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, respectively.

The series is said to compete with Oppo's Reno 10 family and is due for unveil sometime in May.

Mostly to trick the less tech savvy. I personally know people like that (mostly women and also a few men) who think more RAM equals to better performance. And of course Oppo and Vivo salesmen like the less tech savvy very much.
