Hi, after 2 and half years with watch 3 pro elite i switched to Ultimate. I feel that he eats battery more than 3 pro. In 3 pro i have airplane mode on and when not using it 1 percent battery lasts for aprox. 3 hours. In ultimate in the same scenario (i can't turn on airplane mode - because it doesn't have it and i don't know why) 1 percent lasts for 2 hours. Watch isn't connected with phone becasue i manually killed huawei health app. The icon with status connection can be blue - coneccted with phone and app, grey - trying conect with phone but app not responding and grey corssed - totali disconected. I'm guessing that watch always try to search phone because sometimes i see that grey crossed icon changing for grey not crossed.
And when i drivign a car sometimes phone connection with car is broken for 1 second - i'm guessing in that moment watch try to connect with phone.
So i don't know how the writer achieved 2 weeks of battery life when watch is not connected with phone and app.

I have been using the Ultimate watch for almost 3 months now. I had the blue version. Impressed with the build quality, the vivid display and the battery life. The sports functions are amazing covering almost all sports. On the other hand, the notification function is basic. Unlike my galaxy Gear S3, you can not differentiate between Email, whatsapp and SMS notification. Also only last notification can be seen. Previous msgs can not be retrieved. I still feel that Samsung operating system is more professional and robust. Other shortcoming is that images can not be displayed while Galaxy S3 can. May be the OS needs major face-lift. Thank you

Amazing watch feom the pictures, I’d buy it with 3 hands if it had esim, offline navigation, payments. Unfortuanteley, although it looks like the most beautiful thing in the world, it doesn’t offer many smart features.

Fancy smartwatch with superb build quality and stellar battery life. For many it ticks all boxes. Of course it's not meant for anyone who sweats over pennies.
Obviously Huawei has found a niche market that no other manufacturer has anything worth it to compete in.

Thanks, but I'll not buy this, I'll wait for the Watch 4 Pro hoping that it'll be better , or better said, hoping Sammy will bring a better looking design, not a a watch that's looking like a toy

Goku412, 17 Apr 2023$800? oh really ? you can get a solar garmin 🤷Well, I wouldn't consider solar garmin a better option as the solar versions are more than 1000 bucks and garmin Fenix solar are not even a smartwatch in a sense that they don't have a mic or speaker, or ecg or great integration like wear os or watch ios, but they are certainly better in fitness and mapping. Built quality and waterproofing is similar between top end garmin and this huawei watch, and huawei watch ultimate has sattelite SOS, but all these slight advantages of Huawei are only possible in a perfect world. In reality, anyone outside of China, will not get sattelite sos, ecg or any proper payment options. And Huawei Harmony OS is way behind Garmin, Wear OS and Apple Watch in terms of apps and support. I'd say if you need a smartwatch neither solar garmin or huawei are a good option. Both companies are way too overpriced. But Huawei would have to lower this ultimate watch to 300 bucks if they ever want to please Trump and sell it anywhere outside China lol

You really need to STEP UP your smart wearables reviews. They are little more than glorified puff pieces.
- No Heart Rate accuracy measurements (against Polar H10 in steady pace, weight lifting, HIIT, sleep and other scenarios)
- No SpO2 accuracy measurements (against a decent medical device SpO2 finger measurement device or lab grade tool)
- No Calorie consumption accuracy measurement (I'm sure you are aware that the error range in kcal measurements can be 100-300% !!! That is just insane and can make any shown "calories burned" totally useless)
- No real life battery use / run time measurements
- No GPS / compass accuracy measurements
I can get 10x better reviews on Youtube by channels that are barely 1 year old.
You can do better.

This is very insufficient review :(
I wouldn't call it even a battery test "review" as crucial information about GPS on-time is lacking. For example if I take this watch on a trekking tour - how much will it last with GPS on? And how can it be charged (in the wilderness) Are there different modes (like in Garmin?)
Sure testing scuba diving is probably not on the table. But swimming? How accurate is this watch during swimming? How usable?
What about mic and speaker quality? For example if I am in a bit colder weather with gloves on can I answer a call only using the buttons? How well it fares in windy conditions? ...
And what about the massive elephant in the room - how usable and "smart" is this watch without Huawei phone?
Seriously disappointing guys.
