Anonymous, 20 Apr 2023Ya. And a 500$ price tagPeople are willing too pay £1500 , look at iphone 14pro max 1tb people are paying £1500+
It's all about unique rare , .
In Asia people are poor, in Europe USA we are all well off. Even poor people use highend phones, no one buys garbage cheap midrange or budget phones in Europe USA. That's classed as junk .
They rather save up wait 2 Months buy premium highend than dustbin midrange phones

Anonymous, 20 Apr 2023Good. Much easier to Holding than those 2 that you mentioned But it looks ugly, just like having a curved TV vs boxy rectangular looks sexy Slick sexy stylish monolithic
Like mansion villa are boxy not ugly ugly curved houses.
Red magic 8pro, millions love the new oldskool design than the RM7. The s23ultra is selling more than ugly s23 curved.

Xiaomi crops the sensor for its "3x" camera because the focal length is only 9.87mm. This is realistic because otherwise the "3x" camera had a larger effective aperture diameter than the periscope camera and this would be slightly unusual. And as far as I know, there are no other smartphone cameras with a higher focal length than 9mm, if it's neither a periscope nor a retractable lens. They would have needed a focal length of more than 12mm in order to use the full sensor area.

Ottonis, 19 Apr 2023You might want to take a look at "Trading Shenzhen&quo... moreHi my friend! I would love to get my hands on it if i can. The thing is, i have tried importing (the Mi 11 Ultra), and although the phone and camera is amazing, the China ROM is a little too cumbersome to keep as a daily driver, Ive even tried disabling and removing some of the added china apps but still theres the occassional pop-ups of for example some xiaomi chinese app store.

TheLastOracle, 19 Apr 2023Sensor size is compensated for, by faster aperture. Smartph... moreBut a fast aperture will not do the trick in the case of very small pixels. E.g. Samsung S23 Ultra is limited by the diffraction of the lens on around 60 Mpix. And this is just purely theoretical, not counting lens imperfections. So the real limit of the true resolution of the image is way, way lower. So I would much prefer to have v. good sensor in around 24-25 Mpix on the smartphone. If that has to be 50 (so that it is easier to downscale to 12.5) then I would say 1/1.56' (so what Oppo Find X6 Pro has for UW and tele) is the smallest that I think has sense. In smaller sensors, there is some gain in the resolution of course, from 12 Mpix, but not as big as the numbers show.

SirArtur, 18 Apr 2023But the resolution is half of the story. If a pixel is smal... moreSensor size is compensated for, by faster aperture. Smartphones have size as the single largest consideration. Otherwise they would probably move to larger sensors than the 1inch type.
