The Snapdragon 7 series SoCs from 2019 and 2020 (720G, 730G, 750G, 765G), Snapdragon 660, Snapdragon 835 were made by Samsung, yet they didn't suffer from the "issues" that the 8G1 SoCs faced.
What's the one thing all of them have in common? All of them used ARM V8-A ISA (Instruction Set Architecture), whereas the 8 Gen 1 used ARM V9 ISA. So clearly the bigger issue has to be the new ARM ISA rather than Samsung's foundries. I say this because the 888 and 888+ didn't have thermal issues as severe as the 8 Gen 1.
Remember, the Snapdragon 808 and 810 too had bad thermal issues because the A57 cores were just as problematic as the new ARM cores in the 8G1 and later...

It has the exact same CPU and battery performance as the SD Gen 1, but the GPU is 10-20% slower in some tests.

Gen 2 only has about 50% performance gain in GPU compared to gen 1, and gen 3 is expected to have another 50% increase.
Considering Eclipse GPU as 1
Gen 1 GPU is about 1.2
Gen 2 GPU is about 1.8
Gen 3 GPU is about 2.7
Exynos 2400 GPU is about 2
So yeah, they are still getting beat, but not by 3 times as you were speculating.

It is like you have forgotten ... moreAll the 64-bit 2015 Snapdragon SoCs heat up terribly.
The 810 is the worst offender here, tho the 808, 610, 615, and 410 also have their fair share of thermal issues.
(Am saying this as someone who used both the Vibe P1 with SD615 and the Vibe X3 with SD808, both heat up even during normal use)

They should use it in S23 FE only since the new amd gpu and 10 cores belong to experimental category and price it cheap, but why rdna2 not 3? Also i remember the hype created for E2200 goodness me, shouldn't repeat the same.
