... moreI’ve got to agree, once they were so ahead of the game, the Nexus 7 2013, Nexus 9, now, sure you can pick up a bargain Duet 3, for $A350, with a 7 series Qualcomm, 128 GB of flash, with software updates until 2030. But the software, is very beta, hardware wonderful, 2K screen, magnetic keyboard, magnetic back prop. So hardware can be done right, at the right price. But this, more than an iPad mini 6, 2K screen, 5nm chip, with 15 billion transistors, 16 TFLOPS of machine learning updates, for a decade.
In the same price range as a Mac mini M2, or 2 Xbox Series S, a mini computer, with 32GB of RAM, a TB of flash, 8 cores. An Xbox, has 10GB of GDDR6 at 12GHz, I can run Server 2022, on my mini computer, that costs about the same amount of money. Google apps run better on the iPad mini 6, than the Duet 3, they’re afraid, to compete, with Samsung, who are trying to break away, or they’d make something like the Duet 3, in Android, with a Tensor 2 chip. The new Apple TV, has an A15 chip, at $A250, with 128GB of flash, the A15, is the same chip, as in their flagship smartphone. Chip prices and memory, are low, screens have been 2K, for a decade, a la Nexus 9, which I loved for 4 years.

Back then, even the Nexus 9 tablet only costed 300 EUR, and while it wasn't at the level of a Galaxy Tab or iPad, the build was still quite premium for its price. This tablet looks cheap yet costs expensive.
You might as well buy the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 for half that price and flash a custom AOSP ROM on it. Boom, you have a Pixel tablet that's cheaper yet more premium looking 🤣

That's ridiculously expensive for what you get. Will definitely flop if that's the price that they want for that. Not only is the soc last years gen (and it was subpar even then) but it has cheap screen seen on tabs costing like 200 dollars. It has slow charging. The cameras on it are ridiculously bad, you have better cameras on the most cheapest of tablets. No headphones jack and no notification lights and no flash even. They furthermore stripped out GPS and mobile connectivity. And those 650 euros will definitely be at least 800 or even 900 euros when you actually have to pay for it. What you are paying for is the pixel brand that google might abandon at any time. Would be better to buy a Samsung galaxy tab if you want a good tablet.

18W is fine for this device. On the same level as iPads and last time I checked, those still are the best selling tablets out there.

I am a Google fan and I have to say this is DOA at this price. They should have made a small one instead so they could atleast skim sales off the people that want a small tablet with decent performance. The full size tablet space is oversaturated as is. Releasing yet another good performing large tablet with an uninspiring design is not going to sell well except to people who both want a full size tablet AND want plain Android. If plain Android isn't important to them, there are already many offerings to choose from.

It better be 120Hz and include the stand for that price. Heck, the Galaxy Tab S8 is regularly on sale for that or less, it's a much better package. Waiting for the Tab S9 to come put this abomination in the grave.
