The raw material for Lithium Ion is Nickel. And 98% of Indonesian nickel is exported to China so that China can produce lithium batteries and electric cars.
What if Indonesia, which is the largest nickel supplier to China, stops the cooperation/investment with them?
China will lose its production capabilities

I wish they come up with new tech which doesnt heat up the battery. This increase in capacity just feels like a stop-gap thing.

            You are also right.
I think engineers can clarify the data i shared earlier.
But i think on most smarthphones those data works.
I use a phone with a processor which have 10W TDP and i performded highest kind of usage test on that but still it never drained the 100% within 3 hour probably thermal throttling restrict those.

            I have a desktop & a laptop also.
I think you know that laptop TDP is lower than desktop.
            Desktop TDP is highest.
Hence i tried looking for TDP of mobiles and got those number and compared with each other.

Hanif Fikri, 24 Apr 2023no charging port on 8mm thickness? lol r u kidding?because usb c is the norm nowadays, it might be impossible to put into under 8mm thickness. or i may refer to audio jack.

These batteries are like 3-4mm thick so they be long and wide to have that over 4000mAh
But they could make the battery 4-5mm thick and then the batter dont need to be so wide and tall.
But they do them thin like pancake so they get the full phone thinner.
It's like they take a phone and rolls the dough with it to get it thin and large

I dont know the numbers of S23 sold and S23 Ultra sold while standard S23 is already compact and numbers show that people dont want large phones when they go with S23 or S22 as these phones are as big as S6 was but with larger screen with no bezel basically

Ok, now bring back the SD card slot and the 3.5mm jack. That's what every fan and power user actually want from a high-end flagship, instead of 15 pointless cameras.
For the R-tarts that say the SD card is obsolete: has the swappable microSSD for smartphones been invented yet? Does it have a dedicated slot?

But, I think in an attempt to fit larger capacities into smaller spaces, they skimped out on some stuff (I think they use smaller, thinner electrodes or stuff like that) which can degrade faster and easier. Also, their devices don't have a breathing space inside the phone, it is so tightly packed.

                              - You can fit a bigger battery.
                              - You can make the device smaller/compact.
                              - They can make space for an even bigger/better cooling system.
                              - They can use better hardware for other stuff (like bigger, better speakers).
                              - Can potentially make the phone lighter.

Hopefully, they test the tech well and work out all the kinks before releasing it.

It happens when you don't charge the device for a long time (say 6+ months at a time). I still have my old Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S4 in working condition, and they still don't have expanded battery. I charge them up once in 3 months and they are good to go. It is either due to a phenomenon called Outgassing, which is when the chemical reactions inside a battery are not functioning properly, or, due to electrodes degradation. These occur when you don't use the devices battery, which self-discharges and when it is left for too long, it reaches a point where electrodes degrade.
