507AMS, 24 Apr 2023the only reason they keep the 25W charging speed is because... moreThey have their 45W charging already on some models and those phones never came with a 45W charger either.

Akarius, 24 Apr 2023I agree. The only reason people expect higher charging watt... more"The only reason people expect higher charging wattage is the fact that you pay a hefty price for this type of device.."
Absolutely not, it's part of it yes, but not really the main reason as phones for 200 usd can charge with 33W, some even with 65W.
Apart from this I agree with you.

sa11oum, 24 Apr 2023I don't even like Samsung but the amount of hate they ... moreI agree. The only reason people expect higher charging wattage is the fact that you pay a hefty price for this type of device, so it's not unreasonable to expect to get some sort of better deal out of it, even if it meant shipping charger separately. For me personally, it's one of the reasons why I'm thinking if I should wait for Z Fold 5 (and after testing ZF4 for a week I loved it!) or just not bother buying such an expensive device and choose Moto Edge 40 Pro. Sure, I won't have the awesome screen transformation, but at the same time I'll have around 20 minutes charging time for the inevitable day blitz top up is required.
If Samsung FINALLY added some better charging (and maybe a built-in stylus), it would totally sway me their direction, no questions asked, alas have to ponder.

sa11oum, 24 Apr 2023I don't even like Samsung but the amount of hate they ... more...my wife got the iPhone 11 last year...in a regular day (emails, taking photos, using IM apps, Facebook, browsing the web, etc, etc.) the battery charge only last half day...I got for her and extra battery charger for emergency cases...now the emergency cases became a regular day for her....

When will Samsung learn? My Chinese phone from 5 years ago charges faster than their phones, would make their phones way more appealing if they adopted fast-charging.

507AMS, 24 Apr 2023...bigger the boxes less units can pack per ship container.... moreAgain, why does increasing the charging speed force them to include a charger?

As long as apple doesn't, Samsung doesn't tether it and I can bet the iPhone 15 won't boost fast charging either* they don't want to put the charger in the box which is a con

I don't even like Samsung but the amount of hate they get for this blows my mind. I have an iPhone, and it also only charges at 25-27W. If I ever need to top up during the day, I plug it in while I go shower and use the restroom and it gains like 50% battery. Why would anyone need more than this, unless your device has REALLY BAD battery life...

507AMS, 24 Apr 2023the only reason they keep the 25W charging speed is because... moreI don't see the relation. Samsung could increase the charging speed and still ship the devices without a charging brick, the two are not related...

the only reason they keep the 25W charging speed is because any increase on the nominal charging power will require include the charger in the box and Samsung prefers pack more cellphones boxes in a container ship rather than give their customers an important and vital stuff.....
