Anonymous, 24 Apr 2023should have gone with sony, samsung's sensors are not ... moreFor a better price and better logistics they've choose to build everything in the same place.

When you purchase Google Pixels, you are paying them to be a beta tester.

Ok cool but it's time to go back to Snapdragon, Samsung can't make processors for flagship devices. The standby battery life time and the rate at which this phone heats up makes no sense! Google optimized snapdragon + machine learning/ai algorithms would make this the android defining phone, I still do not understand how Samsung continues to be at the forefront of the android platform. Google phones do everything better except on the hardware front and I guess that's why Samsung hold so much weight because they manufacture everything. Rant Over

No way Apple would pay for what sony semicon would charge to make type 1.0 with same tech inside.

Samsung type 1.0 is gonna be the one with 600MP and only ready for late 2024 or early 2025.

Steve, 24 Apr 2023Why not 1" directly, why do google and apple stale lik... moreso they can milk their customers for more years because they can, especially samsung and apple since their customers have no problem buying old camera or battery charging tech
if i was to make a prediction i'd say in max 10 years phone cameras will peak but samsung and apple will milk their customers for at least an additional 5 years
the bump is getting ridiculous, phones can't get any thicker and bigger and software improvement has not much tricks left to show so expect a camera peak in smartphones soon

Should have bought exmor instead. Look at vivo, traded samsung for sony for main camera on all X series.

Vivo, Oppo, One Plus, Apple, Xiaomi , Asus, Realme all use exmor for main camera of their main device.

                            Pixel 7 Pro has tensor
But Pixel 7 has the same Tensor
And Pixel a has the same Tensor 1 year later.

Pixel 7 with said Tensor is $600
Pixel a with same Tensor 1 year later is $300

                            Got it?

It's like saying that the Civic is not the Honda! or the corolla of the Toyota! the pixel 6 pro and the 7 pro only need to put a Galaxy s on it and that's it, the same with the pixel watch, it's a Galaxy gear modeled on Samsung! only a fanboy wouldn't watch that
