Poco F5 is arriving with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, 12GB RAM

The phone could be the global version of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo.

7+ Gen 2 is not a downgrade from 870, since it's basically a stripped-down 8+ Gen 1. Heck it's still carved out of 4nm silicon at TSMC. If anything it would be a nice side/upgrade, especially from its feature sets.

    The day Xiaomi gives USB 3.1 and desktop support it will be the day Xiaomi will catch Samsung and Huawei up.

        But... if Qualcomm underclocks it, and names it 7 Gen2, I can be sure that it might be way better than the 8 Gen 1 in terms of stability and being on par of the likes of Dimensity 8000 (but not on levels of 8100 or 8200)

          Not bad Poco F5, still powerful though. While the Poco F5 Pro will not underestimate the underclocked SD 8+ Gen 1. I'll suggest the regular one with less value.

Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 should be a slight underclocked version of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, so the performance should be better than Snapdragon 870 that used in Poco F3/F4.

                                Reading all the comments about camera, the POCO F3 probably has one of the best camera I ever own so far, I am not impressed by the main camera, details are blurry, but it's telemacro isn't that bad, I get fairly impressive photos with it, that some people couldn't get with their expensive phones

                                Last I check, the F4 and the redmi 12 turbo that the F5 is based on doesn't hace a telemacro

                                    Features I want:
                                    IR blaster that was on Redmi Note 12 Turbo
                                    Headphone jack
                                    Expandable storage unless they sell 1TB for a very good price. 512gb has to be extremely cheap for me to consider it.

                                        Note 12 Turbo has more premium fullscreen display, better SoC, and faster storage but downgrade in plastic back and camera (not Sony).

                                        Note: I don't know what IP rating does Note 12 Turbo has while Note 12 Pro has IP53.
